Great. I, however, do not speculate as to his future "run support", but I do expect that whatever it is, his record will be close to .500.

In 2016, Quintana managed a career-high 13 wins with a career-low 3.20 ERA in 32 starts despite a nine-start stretch in which he received one or no runs of support.

Why don't you feel bad for the guys he faced who received terrible "run support"?

Feel free to address the post. Do you believe that the Sox intentionally chose not to score more than 1 run during that 9 game stretch? Do you think that they decided to suck because he was on the mound?

He also managed a career high 12 losses.

I think the 2016 White Sox were a team with a slightly below average offense. Their team BA was exactly the league average. Their team OBP was four points below average. Their team slugging was 13 points below average. Certainly not great, but far from being utterly inept.

You're the one who seems to be suggesting the White Sox hitters decided to "suck" when the man you are defending took the mound. I tend to believe the more obvious and likely scenario that the same conditions that existed in those games when Quintana had strong ancillary numbers but lost anyway also helped the opposing pitchers who pitched better than he did in those same games.

Naturally you're unable to address the post. What the Sox did in the games he wasn't on the mound is irrelevant.

The more obvious answer is that Quintana took the mound for 60% of his starts with the most favorable conditions? That's hilarious but is so JORR.

Is the Nas answer that his team hated him, he was cursed, or that every time he pitched he just happened to line up against some ordinary guy not as good as the GREAT JOSE QUINTANA who just happened to pitch his balls off against a Sox offense that was far from terrible?

I think if you had spent more time watching and attending Sox games instead of palling around with Cubs fans at Wrigley you would have your answer. Instead you sat at your kitchen table with your Tribune and looked at the box scores and cursed Quintana for losing 1-0.

They need to call up Giminez to catch a few of these guys. This is the first time under Maddon that they haven't had a veteran backstop. Clearly Contreras and Darvish aren't on the same page and I don't think it's a coincidence. Neither Wilson or Victor are great pitch framers at this point.

If they did I'm sure Jorr would find a way to blame It on Quintana.

10-4 as a Cub and now 2 games over .500 for his career. Solid outing against an important division opponent.
