You doubling down on your bad prediction last year?

The problem was Junior Guerra gave up one run in 6 innings.
You can't do that as a starter and expect to win.

You're expected to pitch better than the opposing pitcher.

Exactly.

Guy throws a no hitter, you throw a perfect game.

Not that hard to figure out.

Interesting tactic. Never admitting you might have been wrong and continuing to adjust the requirements to meet your point endlessly so that you will never be required to own up to previously incorrect assurances.

Is his 10-4 record with the Cubs small sample size?

Well watch. When he gets pasted next out you can say he's fine. When he pitches seven scoreless after that you'll take your cock out again. And when we add it up at the end he'll be 13-12 or 12-10.

10-4 as a Cub. What special math are you working with? This team is too good for him to be .500 pitcher. You know that so just admit that you are wrong and move on.

I'm not wrong and you're blinded by Cubiness. I have no such bias. I knew what he was on the White Sox. And I'm sure he had good 14 game stretches with the Sox too. His body of work speaks for itself. Enjoy.

 only JORR could see 10 - 4 as a Cub and still argue he is not wrong.

Well above .500 as a Cub. So far as a Cub you are wrong.

Do you really think he didn't have short stretches with the Sox when he was over .500. Just wait. Let us know when you hate him. You'll be motherfucking him like he was Alfonseca before it's over. Enjoy.

How many decisions is an adequate sample size?

Ok, so the jury is still out on Quintana. Cool.

In 2016 he went 7-2 over 13 starts on a bad White Sox team. So what? All pitchers have good games and good stretches. If they didn't, they wouldn't be in the big leagues too long. You seem to be correlating his current 10-4 record on the Cubs with the "far superior" Cub offense. That's simply wrong.

Sure. We can wait three games and see how he's a game or two on either side of .500.

This is wrong. I was with you and all your friends at your clubhouse in 2014 and 2015, and you had already formulated your opinion on Quintana. We had discussions at length on him. Those discussions took place within his third and fourth seasons. We won't need 190 starts as a Cub. About 75 starts should do.

I don't think it was that long ago, but regardless, his record has remained pretty much the same since whenever it was.

You can keep repeating that he's 10-4 with the Cubs as if he's suddenly a .700 pitcher on your "great team", but I'm quite confident such is not the case.

So hes got to pitch over 500 for 190 or more starts to get a better sample size?
What if other 500 ish pitchers came to the Cubs and were significantly better? Could that sway the argument at all?

He will be, he will be. Followed by, "you lost".

Learn verb tense.

Also, 20 games over .500
Kyle Hendricks has a .600+ win percentage and he isnt even 20 games over.
