Almost no chance he would be there at 6. It would be awesome to get him though.

He'll be long gone by the time the Bulls pick unless they get lucky and get a top 2 pick. Top 3 probably won't even cut it for Doncic.

I've only seen a few highlights but those who have watched him a lot often say he's the best player in this draft by far.

Back injuries are tough. I would probably make the same choice but it wouldn't be a slam dunk.

Like his brother for the other first round pick. If you got them together it would be a great draft.

Don't think Jontay will be there at #22.

As for who the Bulls will take at #6, I think it's safe to say that Ayton and Doncic will be gone for sure. I believe the next four will be, not in order, Bagley, JJJ, Bamba and Porter. I would also say that Young and Mikal Bridges are the only other players that have a shot at cracking that top 6. I also think that when it's all said and done, Bamba will be a safe bet to be picked before we get to pick. I also think Bagley will be picked before 6 as well.

When it's all said and done, I think we'll be choosing between one of JJJ and Porter in addition to Young and Bridges (unless young goes earlier to a team like Orlando). I think top 6 is too high for Bridges, but I also have a feeling our front office would prefer to draft him over several of the guys I already listed so I wouldn't be even slightly shocked if the Bulls reached for Bridges at 6.

So who you like?

JJJ/Porter
Young
Mikal

Lottery about 10 days out, but no one here interested in talking draft? Not surprised.

Would be cool if this place had sports talk.

While the NBA draft is the best draft, there is nothing to discuss until maybe two days before the draft. The lottery? Are you kidding?

Heard the selection of a ping pong ball vendor for the lottery was extremely competitive. Could have gone either way.

6:30 tonight local time. Doing the lottery before the game as opposed to half time.

Thinking good thoughts. I did the lottery sim on ESPN a month ago and got the Bulls #1 on my first try. Didn't do a second try. Watching the Starters on NBA tv yesterday and they did a lottery balloon drop with proper odds and they also got the Bulls #1.

I’m hyped for it. Wish they did the lottery a lot closer to the draft though.

They have a better chance of getting #1 than #8, I think. No worries. Likely picking 6th though.

Should be BOOM you're on the clock what's up. Would be entertaining. I would be more excited with this idea if I didn't know at least 50 basketbloggers have already come with it.

Agreed. Or even make it like a half hour before the draft starts.

Real stupid idea. The reason it is a month before the draft is so teams can start doing their work outs. Would be tough to do workouts if you didn't know if you were drafting #1 or #13.

Disagree. That’s a super lame excuse.

NFL front offices scout hundreds of players before a draft. Nba teams can work out a dozen.

CBS Sports has a mock draft out and has the Bulls taking Bamba at 7 and Aaron Holiday at 22.

Gimme the scoop on these guys.

Correct. If they are drafted elsewhere then refer back to Bob’s response.

Bamba is intriguing. He has a 7'10 wingspan and great timing to boot when it comes to blocking shots. He hustles, challenges shooters as far as the 3 pt line. Another good sign, he got better as the season went out. Unfortunately he had a toe injury that kept him out most fo the last couple weeks of the season. His offense is limited, but you could argue that was as much to do with his coach as his abilities. Shaka Smart didn't put much effort into featuring Bamba on offense. Another positive to Bamba is his attitude and intelligence. He's incredibly smart. He works hard. He's going to put the work in to improve. he's already shown some improvements with his shot since the season ended.

At the very worst you're getting a guy who cna be the defensive anchor for your team for the next decade. Nothing wrong with that. Assuming he develops some offensive game he could be a really nice piece.

I'd take this Mamba guy over Bridges. Those long arms would be great for grabbing those balls that go rocketing off the back iron nowadays.

Agreed. But, not just for that reason. I just feel that the Bulls should be gambling on the high upside guys at this point in the process. Bridges is a nice player, but he's a 22 year old redshirt junior who plays the most plentiful position in the NBA these days. You can find good 3 and D guys all over the place and there are several later in this draft too.

Bamba has crazy upside, probably the highest upside of anyone in the draft actually. Doesn't mean he will get there, but why not take a chance?

Why do shakes and Hatchetman hate the Bulls so much? Bamba should be gone by 7 at least, so that is a bullet likely dodged.

Would totally be a Gar move to trade up to #3 or #4 to take Bamba though.
