This round of the playoffs is actually going to be pretty shitty. Of the 4 series, really only 1 is interesting. Toronto vs Cleveland. The other series suck either because of key injuries or because of a mismatch between the teams.

Philly vs Boston would be a lot of fun if Boston was healthy, but now it's just a series where Philly should win it no problem and if they don't they'll be looked at as chokers.

Houston vs Utah: Without Rubio this is pointless. Utah has no chance. By the time he comes back this thing will either be over or about to be over.

Golden State vs New Orleans: If they couldn't stay within 20 with Curry in street clothes, WTF are they gonna do tomorrow when he's back on the court?

Next round will be great, but this round is awful. I could see the West being done early with 2 sweeps. Boston will probably win a game.

Basically they need to re-seed everyone and ignore the conferences. The rightful Finals should be GS vs Houston but it's going to be one of them vs some shit team because of this stupid structure.

and shorten the season, fewer games. no need to play 82 games. every team play every other team twice.

Fewer games, yes. But don’t shorten the season. 2 nights off between every game = better basketball

If you read anything more complex than GIF captions then you might have noticed that the commissioner spoke about this in February.
Quote:
“When we get to the playoffs should we be taking either the best 16 teams or even if we go eight from the West, eight from the East, seeding 1 through 16 going into the playoffs?” Silver asked at his annual All-Star Weekend news conference Saturday night at Staples Center.

“And that is something that’s gotten serious attention, not just recently, but over the last few years at the league office. I think, as I’ve said in the past, the obstacle is travel, and it’s not tradition in my mind, at least. Having said that, you also would like to have a format where your two best teams are ultimately going to meet in The Finals, and obviously, if it’s the top team in the East and top team in the West, I’m not saying this is the case this year, but you could have a situation where the top two teams in the league are meeting in the conference finals or somewhere else.”

The Russ thing is stupid since he once made it to the NBA finals while playing with Kevin Durant.

I have my doubts about him getting anywhere as "the man"on the team but your question doesn't pertain to that.

Westbrook failed. I'm still a believer in him but that was a major disappointment.

couldn't win with Harden and Durant you'll never win

Thanks for the revisionist account.

Look into the future and tell me who Mr.Triple Double can win it all with....ps. bite me

The alternative history of James Harden as a MVP candidate in 2012 sounds interesting. Tell me more.
No I asked you a question answer it...answering a question with a question is freshman debate team
Westbrook can and should win with anyone. George is a good compliment but Anthony was always going to be an awkward fit.

It's not fair to say he couldn't win with Durant and Harden because both those guys, and especially Harden, were different players six years ago than they are today. They got close back in those days but Durant or Westbrook always seemed to be injured. They should have became what the Warriors are today.
I also think having a conversation with a cadaver is kind of funny.
Did you answer my question on who Mr. Triple Double can win with ?????NO....You FF LTG have a round table of stupid thoughts
Is there any position dumber than thinking that Ben Simmons is a bad basketball player simply because he can't make 3's?

If there is i'd sure like to know what it happens to be.

doug mcdermott is a first round draft pick worth trading up for because he can shoot 3's.

Another stupid thought by you Walt. They are losing at halftime thus Tanking is a failure. That's stupid. Your non tank "go for it all team with the go for it all" coach got their ass bounced in 5 games yet you are still keeping the faith. They were an 8th seed and there isn't a person alive that thinks they are championship contenders.

The Sixers are still going to win the Series.

Celticss 9-19 on 3's so far, ~ 48%
Sixers 3-15 on 3's...25%

ordinarily you'd say that those numbers are going to decline for Boston and rise for the Sixers. And no doubt the former will prove true soon enough. But the Celtics D is doing work keeping Belinelli and Ilyasova in check. Celtics have 6 players who have made 3's; Sixers only 3.

Philly is doing work in the paint. Covington isn't giving them shit though.

Horford just keeps managing to take his game up even one more level every time someone else goes down. He’s playing great.

These Celtics remind me of the 2013 playoff Bulls without Rose and Deng. Both opening rounds went 7 games. Both the Celtics and Bulls took Game 1 from the Sixers and Heat. But Shane Larkin is no Nate Robinson!

Boston seems like they have had a 12 point lead the entire game.

Brett Brown should tell Embiid Horford is pretty good and leaving him wide open is a poor defensive strategy.
