What a relief. Still love you Javy.

The offense has been kinda shit lately though. No more opposite field approach. The pitching bailing us out.

I'm happy they won this one though. If they lost it would have been Javy's fault and that would have sucked.

Farrell actually looked like a ML pitcher. That would be a nice surprise!

The crowd during that game is one of the best sports scenes you could dream up. They’re going nuts and all look like they’re in disbelief.

Those days were so great. Before the NBA became just about chucking.

Interesting tidbit:

The Cubs are currently playing at a 100-win pace. That's great on its own, but get this ...

The Cubs' opponent winning percentage so far has been the second highest in all of baseball. The Cubs haven't played a team with a losing record since their first five games of the year.

Winning close games lately, which makes a huge difference. I hope the trend of great relief pitching continues. And I love seeing Almora get all that playing time.

Agreed, Silvy was going on about how the NBA has never been better, but I have to strongly disagree. They turned basketball into a video game and it sucks to watch people chucking up threes all game and playing no defense.

Lebron would never last a series against the "Bad Boy" Pistons or Nicks. Karl Malone would have ate Lebron for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wouldn't be no flopping because his ass would be laid out for real. Imagine Shaq with these lame defenses! He would average 30/15 every night.

The entire NL sucks but someone has to win games when they play each other.

Another failed trolling effort. It's like watching M.Prior doing the towel drill after his brief moment of greatness.

It's nice to see the Cubs win low scoring, 1 run games. The blowout wins are fun, but these kind of wins are more telling. Gonna be one fun summer!

Rizzo
Bryant
Zobrist
Russell
Schwarber
Caratini
Heyward
Happ
Hendricks

Interesting lineup tonight. Would prefer Almora play but I get giving him a day off. I figure Joe wants Bryant protecting Rizzo that's why we don't have Zo leading off and Rizzo in the 3 spot. I like Russell at 4. Reward him for a good couple of games. Baez sitting is definitley needed.

We need to score runs. Yea, 5 in a row is great but we haven't scored more than 3 runs in any of the games. The offense has been horrible the entire homestand. Need to get back to hitting to all parts of the field.

Let's make it 6 in a row.

Goofy lineup, but so what. Rizzo leading off takes some pressure off him. I think Russell and Happ hit homers tonight.

Mount visits rule is like the NFL catch rule. No one knows anything about it.

The whole notion that if the Cubs are good but Heyward is bad he still plays is dumb. He should be benched no matter what the Cubs record is. He should only be put in as a defensive replacement in the 8th or 9th inning. I don’t want to see him in the lineup for the rest of the season. Maybe that’ll piss him off enough that he’ll opt out.

Heyward hate makes no sense at this point. The entire lineup sucks
