How dumb can you be! I'm guessing the restaurant will be out of business in a month.

It's Plano. Their business will probably triple because of this.

Seems a lot more reasonable to believe the manager didn't want to turn away the business of a regular in favor of the one-off business of a couple, especially given that the table being sacrificed for the regular is a two-seater, rather than infer racial bias because of the races of the respective parties.

And yes, when a proprietor asks you to leave the premises and you refuse, you are way more likely than not trespassing.

While I don't know his motivations, can't it be said at the very least it's a dick move to kick people out because a regular wants their seat?

 There are a few clear-cut cases in which refusing service to a person (or persons) is proscribed by law, and other than that the ability of a business operator to refuse and give service at his or her discretion is unfettered. "I want to take the business of someone I know will return over the business of someone who I don't know will be back" is certainly the latter.

Hell, the "victims" said they were given this clear and reasonable reasoning by the manager, but choose to ignore it in favor of labeling the manager racist.

Did the manager tell the couple that he wanted to give the table to a regular, yes or no?

Also, can a [presumably] white person dislike a black person without that dislike being racially motivated, yes or no?

Bob,

Currently involved with some breaking news.

Can you explain to the lawyer wannabe that when you have been given a table, service has ALREADY been extended?

Thank you,
Crest

That is not a binary answer, Mr. Duke. We don't have a direct quote from the manager or the the Restaurant as to the reasoning. We do have a direct quote captured on film though.."I don't like you".

Go home and get ya fuckin shine box!

Dick's refuses to sell a gun to a 19 year old: I HOPE THEY SUE THEM ALL!
A restaurant kicks out a black man to serve someone else: THE GUY WAS TRESPASSING!

In theory, rather than bump a couple out of their existing table, you can just bump the "regular" to the top of the wait list and put him in a similar view. Also the the victim in this case, has held large gatherings at this restaurant, so your "future business" argument is stupid and invalid as well. You have outed yourself here as a bigger racist than even Wallpaper Steve, so you have that going for you.

Mr. Paralegal better learn the Customer Service side of business as that will be his fallback when his Legal Career Dicaro's on him.

Go ahead and sue if they feel like they were wronged. If the stated reasoning of the manager is arbitrary enough I hope the jury awards damages sufficient to make them whole.

I said I think it more reasonable to assume "not racism" than "racism" because I think that most people in this country are "not racist", so it is a good bet to work with the "not racist" reasoning where applicable.

Yeah... that's not a constitutional guarantee of a good seat at a restuarant.
