There have been numerous indications that people have abused their power at the NSA by tracking ex-girlfriends. Facebook is the same way. So if their is now a DNA registry who is to say that law enforce can just say we found their DNA at the scene? Can most suspects afford to have experts to refute that? It's virtually an ironclad conviction.
Why can't they just do that now? Law enforcement isn't getting your physical dna. They are just getting a report on it's contents. They can't just 3d print some of your blood and put it on the murder weapon like law abiding citizens can 3d print a gun.
