Yeah, kid had a lot of troubles. In and out of rehab. Supposedly had told friends that he was going to check himself in again after one last night of “fun”. 18 years old. Just sad. Still think of the goofy 8 year old asking questions to his uncles. Sweet kid but just.. sad. There’s a picture of him holding my oldest son in the house, he’s probably roughly the same age in the picture as my youngest son is noe...can’t help but think of better times when I see it.

And good god Leash that is awful.

I'm surprised the irony didn't kill him after being revived.

Great nomination. I like to hear about nice stories like this now and then. Truly sorry to hear about those in your extended family having the problems they have had with drugs, Drunk Squirrel. I lost my Brother to drugs and alcohol and know how tough that kind of thing is for the family. I hope your wife's sister finds a way out.

This is a story which is repeating itself just about everywhere in the country.

The move to Fentanyl is making it even worse. Fentanyl is what is used when they put you under for anesthesia so you can see why its use as a way to get high can have such tragic results.
