And Mac is giving him shit about it.

He asked Ron Majors the following question.

McDoink: How in the hell to you get a horse from Ireland to America.

Majors: Well, they put them in a plane.

I'm with Mac. How the hell did McDoink think such a thing happens? How does one ask that question. I was told McDoink was smart.

To be fair, they might've also come over on some hoity-toity yacht or something.

McDoink: I've got a question for you, Bernstein.

Bernstein: Ok, shoot.

McDoink: America was undiscovered. Just natives. How the hell did we get black people over here from Africa to be our slaves?

Bernstein: Oy. We're gonna take a break.

McDoink: What?

Bernstein: No. Trust me. We're gonna have a talk during the break.

Singing "Horse on a Yacht" to the tune of "Fox on the Run" is way more fun than it should be.

A friend of mine bought a horse from England and it was brought over on a boat (along with Mulligan's giddy aunt).

The video for that is entertaining: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBdFA6sI6-8

I was thinking the other day if a portion of his success can be attributed to his name. I mean "Connor McKnight" is a pretty good name.

I wonder if he'd be where he is with the name John Wilson or Ray Simonson.

His name is so close to that of Edmonton Oilers phenom Connor McDavid. Scoreboard updates from Wayne Gretson can't be far behind.

I forget the actual question. But I caught their show a couple of weeks ago. They had a guest on. And McDoink asked another dumb ass question where the answer was obvious. The question was just stupid. One that nobody with a brain would ask. And the guest paused before telling him the common sense answer.

I've concluded that while McDoink is well spoken, he's just not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

That can be possible contrary to what Bernstein thinks. You can have a Chicago accent and be smart. You can have an English degree like McDoink and be a dumb ass.

Careful what you wish for, Bernstein. You just might get it. And you did.

What's the origin of "McDoink"? Did he call himself "Connor McDoink" at the beginning or the end of an update?

I'm thinking McDoink thought that might have been how the horse crossed the big pond. I'm not joking. That boy ain't right. Because he asked the question generally not knowing how such a thing could happen. You could hear it in his voice.

I'm still amazed that such a question could be asked by anybody over the age of 5.

Obligatory response to a mention of Ron Magers

Too drunk, too stoned, too fast, TOO GOOD.

I miss that old channel 5 news theme. We were a channel 5 family until the Jerry Springer segments made Ron Magers and Carol Marin quit.
