I think it’s a little early to have a good sense of how good or bad this team (especially the pitching staff) is but I am a proponent of dealing Kyle Schwarber as well as Russell — for Machado ideally. Schwarber’s a career DH. And we’ve seen 3 and a half years of Addison Russell at bats. Over 1,600 of them equaling a .240 average. Both players have had their moments (some really awesome moments and we’re grateful), but it’s time to acquire a real damn good baseball player. Machado has 45 hits this year. Russell and Schwarber have 47 combined.

There is no way in hell i am giving up schwarber and russell for 4 months of machado. Russell and some low prospect i am good with because russell hasnt hit in a year and a half. Schwarber can hit and he has value. I still hope there is a way for the Cubs and Cards to swap Dexy and Heyward + cash.

I think Hickey has done a good job. The pen is pretty solid and its really only chatwood who is walking every fucking batter he sees. The hitting has been pretty shitty again. The guy(s) who arent getting the job done are Theo and or Jed. They seem to fuck up just about everything other than obtaining closers.

Considering Bosio has zero managing experience, and no pitching-coach-turned-manager has ever done shit, with Roger Craig being the best of them (Dusty Baker did much better than him btw), maybe you should look into comic book movies or gifs.
