Strop threw 2 innings yesterday (Saturday). Farrell was one pitch away. Two tough back to back losses. Offense has to step up.

Hadn't thrown prior to that since April 30. Could have been used.

Suck it up buttercup. Farrell just gave it up the other day. Put Strop in. There is no way in hell he is down there saying no.

This is just another example of Maddon being a pussy manager. He avoids the leadoff issue by making ridiculous lineups and everyone just gobbles it up. He has some hardon for Farell so he lets him blow another game. Its pretty sad to see talent pissed away like its being at Wrigley.

The media certainly laps it up. I certainly don't think its out of line to start grilling Maddon on that if he gives you a bullshit answer like "I thought the guys needed some python like fun," as he did last week with Rizzo.

Also, ballplayers are creatures of habit. Some guys might get a bit annoyed with the lineup cards that seem like they are pulled from a hat. My guess is that some guys aren't bothered by it, but some guys might prefer to 'know' "Ok, I'm an infielder so I'll be at 2nd and hitting in the middle of the order today." I know that Almora and Baez need a day here and there, but if it isn't broke why try to fix it? The Cubs were on a 5 game win streak then Maddon changed the entire top of the lineup. They haven't won sense, and have only scored more than 3 runs once in the last ten games.
