Their last book had them in third, but again, it's about the context that the Score won mornings, won middays, and then lost afternoons. If your afternoon show is sending listeners to the competition (who finished first), what are you supposed to do? treat afternoon drive as a loss leader?

You pointed that out earlier. It is a distinction Goff is choosing to ignore.

The problem with the Spiegel and Goff show was the same as with the Bernstein and Goff show - Goff. He couldn't help but find a racial angle to every topic. The difference between Spiegel and Bernstein was that you could sense Speigel was rolling his eyes half the time whereas Dan encouraged it being the guilty, white, self-hating liberal he is.

Some good points by all of you. Bottom line. Goff is trying to spin this.

- He's basically saying he blames Bernstein for the show's lack of success. That's laughable considering Bernstein had survived in that slot for over a decade. But Goff now hates Bernstein so he's "gonna do this now". But it's a lie that he didn't want to go to afternoons to his mentor and the radio love of his life. His style and opinions were based off Bernstein's. There is more to this story. Goff thinks Bernstein sold him down the river. And maybe he did. We'll learn about how that happened later. Goff still wants to talk and he'll share it later.

- In order to blame Bernstein he had to say that he loved Spiegel. Which is absolute bullshit. Goff used to attack Spiegel when he was a B&B producer and they had lots of tense moments when they had their show together. Then Goff would also take shots at Spiegel when he went to afternoon with Bernstein. Both of these guys hated each other. Goff was glad for the promotion and to get away from Spigel.

- Should Goff had introduced himself to DeCastro? I don't think so. But if the other guys at the station went out of their way to meet him, then maybe Goff should have done so as well. I do find it odd that Goff never met the new boss in 5 months. Maybe DeCastro took offense that Jason didn't go to him and kiss the ring. I'm sure Bernstein and Larry did so. Goff is naive when it comes to politics. He's never had to worry about it much. He always had B&B backing him up. He found out about it in Atlanta and now once again.

Goff: I shouldn't have to want to meet DeCastro's ass. His ass should want to meet my ass and make arrangements to do so.

That's how I think Goff thought about the situation. Sounds cool. Sounds tough. But when DeCastro is the new guy to decided your fate, you might want to play politics. It's kept Bernstein and Larry around forever. Those two boys know how to play the game.

For those that do give a shit and don't want to listen, I'll give the highlights.

1. Goff said his ass didn't want to leave middays. He wanted to stay with Spiegel's ass cuz they had something going. He had reservations about working with Bernstein's ass. But his contract said nothing about time slots. So they basically told him he had to go with Bernstein.

2. DeCastro had been working at the SCORE for 5 months. Goff said the first time he talked to him was the day that his ass got fired. That's bad management. Or maybe DeCastro is scared of black people. Either way, DeCastro is an ass hole.

3. Goff denies that he talks too much race.

4. Goff thought that the SCORE floated shit to Robert Feder to make him look bad. Goff said Feder posted numbers that were 12 years old plus. And that all the SCORE cares about is men 25-56. And that he and Bernstein were 3rd.

1) He's a liar and his ego only grew.

2)That's a lie...question...what efforts did Jason make to talk to DeCastro if at all?

3) He lacks self awareness almost as much as DiCaro!!

4) He made himself look bad.

The Dbag loved braggin'...he got what he deserved! He sucked at his job and now he has to return the Range Rover 'cause he thought he was going to be there in that sweet afternoon spot for 15 years. Took.It.For.Granted.

Another lie by Goff was when he said "I don't care if I get bad press from Feder, I just care about my producers."

No you don't Goff. You care for yourself. The producers are fine with bad press or good press for a radio show. The ratings have nothing to do with the guy answering the phone.

Jason, if you're lurking here, this is your 60 day notice. You are now 2 months behind on your payments. Don't make me find you.

Goff is "that guy." What guy?

Lets say you have a meeting of an insurance company, wall street firm, etc with brokers. producers, salesman etc.

The president of the company makes 1 visit, say Vanguard Funds or any XYZ company comes in for a meeting. Big honor for big producers

Goff is there, but does zero production of the 20 people there, yet is the negative nellie in the back making all the comments of "not playing the corporate game" or asking the President of the company 10 stupid questions about bad service, etc. This while the producers sit quiet and roll eyes wondering why he still shows up.

Again "That guy." Nothing ever his fault, yet always a problem. Unless he changes, nothing will change.
