I don't think this is possible if you are over 35 and from the Chicago area.

I'm all for crapping on the bastard that is Senor, but I also didn't remember this one until I saw the picture, and even then only vaguely.

they quickly covered their asses by pointing out that this commercial was a mainstay of WCIU/springer-era-programming which gave them an out like "i didn't watch springer" (or in mcdoink's case his parents didn't allow him to watch springer growing up)

i didn't watch springer either, but evidently i've seen enough WCIU in my day to know eagle man and the victory auto wreckers commercial. those two were indelible.

Underrated among funny Chicago commercials is when Aronson, Home of the Credit Connection did a version in Spanish but changed the instrumentation of the jingle so that it would sound Mexican. What commitment.

I always liked Harry Schmerler, the Singing Ford Dealer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miKKp7cWl4M and Bert Weinman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ_XF7kADN0

reading from the bottom up, i initially thought it was Hawaii you doing a parody of himself... i think he is self aware enough to be able to do that.

That Bert Weinman commercial says they were open Saturdays AND Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm. I figured the law banning Sunday sales was older than that, but I guess not.

Also liked Schmerler saying you could buy a "brand-new, equipped" Fairmont or Mustang from $4,995. Equipped with what?

I'm also not aware of the "Eagle Man" commercial. So give Bernstein a break with that one. If I don't know it, it's cool.

But everybody knows the guy ripping off his car door commercial. That was played during Cubs games in the late 80s and 90s.
