!!!!!!

It's a little rough around the edges but that's to be expected. Why did they hold out for so long?

I don't know the exact reason they had NEVER played it at an actual show until today, but it's always been a white whale for U2 superfans, so I'm glad they've finally listened to our pleas. I just hope they don't drop it before 5/23.....I hope those dusty Okies in Tulsa appreciated it. They also played zero songs from TJT tonight.

Did a fucking triple (insert whatever they do here) at the live version

It's a great song on a perfect album.

Remember when U2 tried to make a song about counting to 3 but they actually made a song that counted to 14?

What a great song.

I don't know why I've never seen a live show of theirs, considering they are one of my favorite bands and Achtung Baby is, without question, my favorite album ever.

Probably warming up for the inevitable 30th anniversary Achtung Baby Tour after this current one is up.

People actually wanted them to sing Acrobat? Maybe should have kept it in the closet.

Better is One Tree Hill as a rarity.

Once upon a time, they put on a great show at Soldier Field on a hot summer's eve.

They played One Tree Hill at Soldier Field on July 5th 2015.
I'm guessing that's not the show you were at. (I was.)
They also just finished The Joshua Tree 2017 Tour where they played One Tree Hill on June 3rd and 4th of last year.
At Soldier Field. You didn't go to those shows either, didja?
And yes, people have been wanting to hear Acrobat in concert for more than 25 years.
It's kind of a fan favorite.....

I saw them on June 28, 1997 at Soldier Field for the PopMart tour. It was that night because they played New Years Day, which they didn't the first night.

Where the Streets Have No Name was the best song, I remember.

Ahh, you went to the Saturday show. I saw Friday and Sunday nights.
POPmart was a thing.....

Should U2 ever be allowed to do a show without New Years Day? That’s like Springsteen skipping Rosalita.

Well, they're definitely going off script on their current tour....
nothing from TJT, no Mysterious Ways....
They did play Gloria the other night.
Kinda wish they'd retire Elevation and Vertigo, I mean they're really fun arena songs, but enough already.
And One, too.

"One" is the worst of the big U2 anthems. I know there's a lot of U2 lore behind it but the song itself, meh.

I think the worst thing I could say about it I'm just sort of over it by now. If that is THE song that kept them from breaking up, that's fine but it's kinda boring 27 years later.

No, that was the Friday show, 6/27.
It was amusing...

I'd like to see one of the shows at the UC shows coming up in two weeks. It's like $200 for a decent ticket, though.

This live version of Acrobat is really something. Bono's voice is sounding great.
