The one thing missing in this discussion from anyone taking the pro-Palestine stance here would be facts. It's almost as if the facts are not with that side.

Just so we are clear on this, if in retaliation for the murder of their people the Palestinians go into the settlements in Gaza or the West Bank and start lighting up Jews you're cool with that right? I mean they are just defending their territory.

I guess that would require the Palestinians having had sovereign territory in the 1st place. Now I ask the question, when has there been a sovereign Palestinian state? That land was Jordanian, but the Jordanians surrendered any desire to claim the land back.

Israel has offered the majority of that land to the Palestinians at various stages as well in exchange for peaceful recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, but the Palestinians have refused.

In light of those facts, I would say that no, the Palestinians have no justification as they have never held sovereignty over it, nor have they accepted it when offered at the peace table.

I knew you were going to make the "sovereign" play and you didn't fail to disappoint.

Can Brick step in and tell us how you believe that Palestinians "have no right to exist" now? I will settle for Jorr as well.

Tell me, when was there a Palestinian state with self rule by the people living there? If a Palestinian state was so important, why was one not declared in 1949 when Egypt and Jordan held sovereignty?

For the record I'm numb to Palestine suffering. Just want the Israeli cheerleading to cease.

The Palestinian suffering will cease when they accept the fact that the Jews are not leaving and accept Israel's overtures for peace.

“Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us,” - Golda Meir

It's fairly obvious the Jews aren't leaving unless America full stops financial and military support. They would then be forcibly removed in a bloody gang bang.

It's also fairly obvious sniping 50 or 60 people for crossing a line is hard to justify.

At this point, US support is but a fraction of Israel's defense budget. Israel would be fine (and I have argued, actually better off) without US defense support.

The Jews aren't leaving, but at least you know acknowledge that making the Jews leave entirely is the goal of the Palestinians and the reason why they will not accept any peace deal. With that in mind, let them rot in the filth they have created for themselves. The solution to their misery is right there in front of them and they refuse to accept it because they hate the Jews more than they love their own children. Golda Meir was right.

Since it doesn't exist, and has never existed, I don't think a Palestinian state has a "right to exist" just like I don't think Brickestine has a "right to exist".

Now, it should exist but it shouldn't be earned the way that they are going about it.

Your last 2 replies have shown quite well that you are too far gone to have a reasonable discussion on this.

Those are historical facts. There has never been a state called Palestine. It's about as real as Narnia.

Now they can have such a state, but doing so would require accepting a peace treaty, which is something they refuse to do

There had never been a state called Israel until 70 years ago either.
I also think the Brits might disagree with you on the "no such place as Palestine" thing. Actually the US agreed with the Brits at that time as well.

Now the Palestinians would love to try that, but of course they would fail miserably. They tried it in 1948, 1967, 1973, etc.

"Palestinian" is a political term that was never used the way it currently is prior to 1967. Arabs have a right to exist. And they control many countries. But if your end game is the destruction of Jews, then maintaining a permanent class of "refugees" across multiple generations to be used as a club against Israel is a great strategy.

It's Israel that desperately needs a two-state solution that Arabs refuse to accept. Once again, if the destruction of Jews is your end game, why would you accept such a solution? All you have to do is wait and win the propaganda war, which obviously they are doing. And the Jews will eventually- they aren't now- have to actually preside over an apartheid state or abandon the idea of a Jewish state. Neither option is a good one.

Maybe Ogie thinks they should just flood the area with Arabs and then claim it's theirs. You know, kinda how the Jews got started with it.

Jews had a continuous presence in the land for over 2,500 years.

No silly guy. A bloody gang bang meaning surrounding countries would remove Israel from the map.

Wasn't referencing Palestine at all. They aren't the boogeyman. They pose no real threat. Contrary to Israeli propaganda reporting.

Ok so let's bring the Brits back in. The region of PALESTINE was under British rule, and in the 20's started being flooded with Jews.

Well the land was originally called Judea (why do you think we are called Jews?)

The Romans renamed it when they tried to stamp out the Jewish connection to the land. Regardless, at no point was there ever an independent nation with sovereignty called Palestine. At every point in its history since the Kingdom of Judea was absorbed by the Romans, it was under the control of a distant empire and never sovereign.

I can safely say there has never at any point been an independent nation called Palestine. Nor has there every been a nation in the land under self rule of the Arabs living there.

The League of Nations? It hasn't existed since WWII. But I'm pretty sure Israel existed as far back as the 10th Century BC. Maybe JBIlls can Wiki that for you.

Since Israel has such a real good track record of not indiscriminately murdering people I'm sure all those snipe kills were 100% justifiable.

Texans have more of a historical claim to a country than Palestinians as there has actually been an independent sovereign nation called Texas.
