Heyward did show some signs before the concussion, notably more fly balls, a better hard hit ball velocity, etc. so hopefully once he gets his timing back he'll be decent. As for trading him, no one will pay anymore than 7-8M straight up so they'd have to pay down 60%+ of that contract which isn't gonna happen anytime soon. Once there is only 2-3 years left on the deal, then they can eat the contract or swap him for another bad contract(s).

Hopefully Chilli can get into his head and teach him to punish the ball a little.

Heyward has a partial no trade clause for 2019-2020. Has full no trade 2016-2018.

As to Theo's other mammoth contract, at least Darvish didn't mentally collapse today and gave them six good innings overall. Hopefully he starts to get a feel for that split because with that he can really be nasty assuming he has the fastball command which he needs given that pitch is pretty straight but is 95+.

Quality baseball players sit because of Heyward. At least Happ and Schwarbs add something at times. Zo is playing decently. Heyward should sit until someone else gets hurts or is in a deep slump. You watch his at bats and just get sick to your stomach.

GE needs to be split into at least three pieces. Only way to unlock the value of that piece of garbage.
