I think Maeve is close to consciousness and Delores is still just enacting a scenario.

Still Maeve is not conscious. Her "feelings" for he "daughter" are entirely a construct and a human reaction to stimuli. If she was conscious she would ask herself why she felt anything for something she knows is not really her daughter. She would question the feelings themselves.

I caught up last night. The latest episode was out of left field and completely killed the momentum of the prior episode. I am sick of them introducing new characters and plot lines, all tangents, to the broader story. The pior episode (four I think) was fantastic.

I was never crazy about them adding a new season as I thought this was a one shot type of show. And now it is spraying in too many directions that I don’t think they can wrap it up neatly. I found it a much more enjoyable show when guys were just showing up to drink, shoot people and bang chicks. Now it feels like a complete chore to try to figure out WTF.

What if you found out one of your sons had been fathered by RFDC? Would you love him less?

Hmm, is RFDC tall and meaty? It might explain a lot about my son.

They have a 4 or 5 season story arc from what I've read.

Maybe it should have been called AI:Delos and season one WestWorld. Dennis needs the Mr. Skin version of the show so he doesn't have to fast forward through the rest.

That's too bad. I'll be done after this season then.

How long before Mauve encounters a village based on Bangkok where we get to see lady boys?

She hasn't had the experiences with her daughter that she "thinks" she has. The better analogy would be if I were an actor on a show, would I love my stage son like a real son?

I thought it was funny how the copying of the narratives from one world to the next were so thorough that the Maeve and Clementine of Shogun World wore the same color kimonos as their western counterparts dresses. Red for the madam, Blue for the Clementines.

Sets up some interesting things.

More security guys come in to get Abernathy.

Team Maeve leaves Shogun World behind (but not before a cool sword fight) and get back into Westworld. They find Maeve's daughter, who of course has a new mom.

Teddy apparently has been just turned into a killer by Dolores. Which freaks Dolores out a bit. They send the train on a suicide run into the Mesa and are Dolores, Teddy, and Angela are gonna kill everyone.

MiB continues to be a prick to his daughter. They have a nice talk and then he leaves her to go chase his demons instead of going home with her.

Elise and Bernard go to the Cradle and Bernard has his brain extracted and put into the cradle so they can find out who is in control. And of course it's Ford. He backed himself up before he died.

Also don't forget the opening "for fidelity" scene with Dolores, which I'm assuming is a continuation of the opening scene of the season. Unless that was Bernard's "training", could there be an Arnold personality alive inside the Cradle?

Also, Ford has clearly jumped the hurdles Willliam was encountering with the DelHost.

The only question I have is: how did Ford program himself into a digital consciousness and go through all the things we see ostensibly necessary to make those things come out stable?

I think Ford's "brain" was the little red ball Bernard picked up in the past and put it in the Cradle. And if Ford is still controlling things from threre, is anyone really free?

Maybe Maeve?

This whole show is going to end up being one simulation in the Cradle and I will not be happy.

They need to do away with the multiple timelines next season.

It was a nice hook for the big reveal in season 1, but it's not necessary anymore.

Agreed. I feel like I’m watching a show with a lot of interesting scenes that are only tangentially related. Not much narrative cohesion.

Ford or any host consciousness inside the Cradle cannot survive without breaking down like Delos, but Arnold can? And Ford can survive if he hitches a ride on Arnold's mind?

And hosts have free will but really dont? Jesus.

Yeah I don't know.

I have faith they'll tie it all together but that's based on last year more than anything.

best part of that episode were the previews for next week. Ghost nation-centric episode has potential to be awesome.

Yeah I am starting to get a little concerned about this show. Beautiful to watch but this story is starting to spiral into
itself and I shouldn't have to work so hard to figure out what the hell is going on or what time line we are in. If they
are going to do 2 or 3 more seasons of this I think my head might explode before I get to see the ending. So much
promise with the whole thing. I am not going to give up on it but I hope they can simplify things next season. I don't
mind a flashback when it is warranted, but stop jumping all over the place!

Didn't they get us almost all the way back to current, which is the twitchy Bernard riding around in the dune buggy?

He was found without Elsie, so I assume she must die pretty soon.

I think they're finally caught up with the timelines for the most part now. And yes they need to do away with the multiple timelines going forward. It worked with the story for season 1.

Now it's a crutch they need to shed.

ive been trying to rewatch season 1 with the gf so we can watch season 2 together.. but i dont know what it is... maybe because i know whats going to happen but season 1 is slow paced and low on actual information. its like the first few episodes tell you everything and then its just rehashing after that. i dont think i noticed the first time around because i like robot humanoid movies and shit... and the visuals are awesome... but its really not as good as it seems at first.
