Kinda been oddly enjoying Shields starts this year. Guys been solid.

Our lineup is a dumpster fire though. We have to lead MLB in situations of getting men in RISP with no outs and not scoring a run in the inning.

It cracks me up when he benches players for not hustling. I’m waiting for him to bench himself for getting pantsed by the opposing manager on a nightly basis.

Here's the problem with that. I don't think it's Renteria specifically. It seems as if it's deeply organizational. Both Guillen and Ventura foolishly bunted and and gave away many outs on the bases.

The White Sox have been obsessed with bunting and the running game going back to Aparicio and Fox maybe even all the way back to the Hitless Wonders. But those teams needed to play that way as it was damn near impossible to hit homers in their ballpark.

And I wouldn't mind it nearly so much if you had guys who could actually execute these things. But they don't.

I've always complained about this with some of the old timers. The team that always beat the Sox was the Bronx Bombers, not the Bronx bunters. I guess yelling Go-Go every time someone got on base was enough of a fun memory to forget the losing.

Dylan Covey has a good arm. Not saying he's a starter, but I did not know he threw 95 so effortlessly. Good movement on the pitches as well. Looks like he could be a nice bullpen arm at least.
