This may come as a surprise to guys on here,but I can never throw my kids out of the house. I love them and if they had a hard time finding work at their chosen profession,I don't see the sense of pissing away money on rent. That was not the case with my kids. My son held 3 jobs while paying his own way through the last 3 years of college. My daughter the same. It was easy for my daughter to find work,my son had a harder time being a teacher. The nice thing about teaching is the option to sub while also working at Jewel (for extra cash & health coverage.) I'm not tossing a kid hustling to do good in the world out on the street.

A friend from high school (ER Doc) sold house and started construction on a new house. In the interim, lived with his parents for 18 months with wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs. They picked up a third stray dog while living there. We ribbed him mercilessly.

It was. Construction did not start immediately. Still was long as they had some construction challenges as home was on steep incline in Rocky Mountain foothills. I didn't pay close attention to those details. Just watched the calendar and needled.
