Nothing official has been announced, and no roster move has been made as of yet. Its possible they wait until after today's game so that the Sox have time to get a catcher to Detroit for the weekend.

That's pretty bogus if the Sox have to play with just one catcher on the roster today. Hopefully they were informed yesterday and had time to get somebody up here from Charlotte or Birmingham.

I read today that the catcher has a slugging percentage under .200. And this isn't a small sample size anomaly.

I expect that they'll make a trade at some point for a bad veteran like a Jose Lobaton now that the Mets have acquired Devin Mesoraco. Lobaton can't hit worth shit either, but he'll be better for the young White Sox pitchers.
