There is a need/desire for gender neutral or not girly clothes for girls. If your not woke and dressing your girl in sequin stuff it's not wrong either. This article makes it seem like it is though. I was never girly and would have welcomed more conservative clothes, especially athletic. My daughter walks around in clothes that make you think a unicorn may have shit her out that morning when she got dressed. Neither should be right or wrong by a societal but right for the individual.

What sentence in that article made you think they are saying it is wrong?

I never bought a lot of brand stuff, maybe 2 per season and it couldn't be an everyday or semi permanent item. I don't buy slogan shirts because I think most of them are dumb. There is stuff they will like and there isn't anything wrong with that. Some little boys and girls like superhero shirts. My daughter went thru a princess phase. Are they going to tell their kids no? Why? It's not bad, I think it'd be worse to forbid it.

Nowhere in that piece did it say this is right.

It said some parents had a hard time finding gender neutral clothes (they couldn't have looked very hard but I digress) and started a company to make them.
