They need to trade Abreu soon. Let the guy play for a winner. He deserves it.

Houston has Yuri Gurriel with one home run in damn near 200 at bats. They would seem like a damn fine candidate for Abreu’s services.

Now I’m sick to my stomach after looking at Gurriel’s statistics.

Ian Desmond is hitting .196. You imagine the damage Abreu can do in Coors.

Now please win tomorrow when I'm actually going. It's been a while since I've seen a W.

James Shields game.

Of course they're winning it.

A really good game tonight. My dad and I stayed through 7 innings, then my dad wanted to get out of there ostensibly for traffic but mostly because he's old and his body clock is set to 20 degrees warmer than everybody else so 58 degrees felt like 38 to him. I was going to suggest leaving after the Brewers 8th if it was still a 5-run game, so I didn't mind much.

The White Sox could have easily just folded up their tent after giving up 3 runs in the first two innings. Nobody would have blamed them. Instead, the Brewers played like they had 10:45 reservations at Gibsons, and the White Sox fought back. Especially the bullpen, which to me was the most surprising thing. Getting 2 1/3 quality innings out of Chris Volstad is nothing short of a miracle.

I had great seats, 1B side, 3B->HP line extended to row 30, on the aisle with nobody in 3-4-5-6. Announced attendance was 20,004, which seems right. Each section had swaths of empty seats, but only the corner sections like 109 were truly empty. Upper deck had people between the bases, and then a few folks who bought Uecker seats and didn't feel like cheating up to better ones.

Nice job by Shields getting out of trouble. Last year, that was 2 or 3 runs given up.

That got out of hand.

Both jerseys are great.

Been working outside listening on the radio.

Just tuned in on television. Great memories with those throwback uniforms for both sides.

That Brewers' MB in the shape of a baseball glove is a terrific logo.

The '83 Sox uniform will always remind me of that great season but also they were ultimately a result of a uniform design contest after the 1981 season. Thus putting an end to Chris Sale's favorite 1976-1981 collared uniforms.

Timmay does nothing when it matters. Narvaez backs him up with a terrible at bat.

It gets a bad rap, in part because of it's location. But they've steadily made improvements since it opened. Just stay on the 100 level, get a Red Lot parking pass in advance, use Gate 5.

Nice Jersey. I checked ebay and looks like they're already selling them there. Pretty cheap, like $15-$30 range. If it's a real throwback jersey I'm sure it sells for $100s.
