Obviously after the fact it looks bad. But no matter how good he is pitching they have to score some runs. They are looking for a big inning there. LaStella has been a great pinch hitter this year. Not like it was a crazy decision.

I just don't like going to the bullpen early. I think they could have gotten one more inning out of Hendricks, and after the gift of the shortstop slipping and falling in the mud, maybe resign yourself to a bunt situation, scratch out one, and try to get the big inning in one of the next four?

Yeah, I'd go with a six man rotation with Montgomery.. I'd also trade for Happ.. Toronto is in the cellar and his contract is up at seasons end.. He's having a nice year in the AL east.
