This shit all really started with the "DECISION" and has gotten worse since.

Bullshit.

The NBA has always been that way since Auerbach began out working his competition. But it was ok back in your day when the Celtics ran roughshod over the league for a decade and a half?

Or is it just the money and how(former) labor has discovered that they in fact are the capital and have successfully demanded according treatment?

Like the misplaced contempt by those who keep calling LeBron's guys idiots, while ignoring that individually they are at least as successful as anyone on this board. And successfully enact their own social justice agenda.

Also worth pointing out is that the Jordan narrative, one of practicing incessantly and relentlessly pushing himself to be better, is one we usually ascribe to white players. Meanwhile, LeBron is the ultimate LOOK AT HIS BODY Big Black Stud. Of course, both players have surely practiced their asses off and were/are both fantastic athletes, but the belief is that Jordan constantly willed himself into being while LeBron is innately a physical freak and just steamrolls people without having to work particularly hard at it.

Please tell me where your obsession with Lebron as some nubian God came from (Don't cop out to blaming Bernstein).

It's the gayest thing on this board, and using it in a repetitive nature like you have been is... Well whatever. Do your thing.

And your last paragraph is bullshit.

Great post Bills. Bernstein is a copout. If the only thing that you see when you watch Lebron James play basketball is a "big black stud" then there is not only something wrong with Bernstein, there is something wrong with you.

No one has ever questioned Lebron James's work ethic as a basketball player either.

Say what you want about the guy but he was playing 45 plus minutes at 33 years old for the entirety of the playoffs.

You can't do that without a strong work ethic.

I never doubted that LeBron works hard, I said that there's a perception that it comes more easily to him than it did to Jordan because of the whole sociopathic-gym-rat thing.

You routinely mock and degrade a man who has amassed more wealth than you, me, and everyone on the board combined will see in our lifetimes. You don't get to play the "Oh yeah, well Maverick Carter has more money than you!" card.

I don't know, I believe JORR said it [EDIT: It was not JORR], I was merely pointing out Reader's, as usual, inconsistent logic.

I liken Carter to Entourage's "E". He has the skills and business savvy, but needed LeBron (like Vincent Chase) to bootstrap him into The Business and keep him there for awhile until he could become self-sustaining. And like E did with Vinny Chase, Carter probably hurt LeBron's career or earning potential more than once, and had LeBron hired professionals from the get-go, he may have a few extra millions.

And that is where a lot of 90's Jordan gazers have it wrong. Jordan was also a tremendous athlete as well. He was in Lebron's class as a world class athlete too.

Reader was responding to the "idiot" friend comment though so unless you are aware of why he stated what he stated then your comments are misplaced.

Yeah, there can't be any doubt of that. We all watched Jordan.

I don't think I need to know what JORR meant by "idiot friends" to point out Reader's hypocrisy. You want to pretend that I have to have some skin in the game to do so, because you're [hopefully] smart enough to realize how hypocritical Reader is being, but I don't.

You (hopefully) are smart enough to know that it wasn't Jorr that he was originally responding to. When Reader comments about Trump there is context to it. When someone refers to Lebron's friends as idiots without knowing much about them then it is fair to question that.

You seem unaware that there is a school of writing that uses Beyonce and LeBron as totems for a certain type of social agenda rather than treating them simply as the entertainers they actually are. Don't get chippy because CH is more plugged into to the zeitgeist than you are.

Please explain further how CH is more plugged into the 2018 zeitgeist than me.

Ok, I'm going to make this easy for you:

Reader said it is wrong to call Lebron's friends "idiots" because those people are more "successful" than anyone on the board.

Reader makes vile remarks almost daily about a man who is cumulatively more successful than everyone on this board, and those "idiot" friends we are talking about here.

There is no context that excuses this raging hypocrisy.

As i stated before his comments about Trump always have context attached to them. He isn't saying that it is unfair to call James's friends idiots. They may well be but can anyone refer to them as that without really knowing anything about them.

If he were to call Trump that or anything else without context then it would be similar.

Hope i made that "easy" for you.

I make honest assessments of a four times bankrupting businesses guy. A guy who shares your political bases. A happy and opportunistic bigot. A guy, who if he just took his inheritance and put it into market index funds, may have been truly wealthy for doing even less than he actually has done.

As opposed to LeBron's guys who got a leg up from a friend, and seemingly have done well without laundering money for criminals and oligarchs to which he appears to be indebted.

But as usual your ire and assessment appears based on the one clear difference between them. As usual.

Reader never mentioned "knowing" Lebron's friends. He specifically referenced their success as the reason people calling them "idiots" are wrong.

So why do you give the folks calling his guys idiots a pass? They certainly don't know them either, and there's no public record upon which to base the claim. Be something other than the hypocrite you whorishly love to accuse me of being.

What ire have I displayed? And what is that about my "assessment"? What does my assessment of Maverick Carter have to do with Trump? I didn't even mention him. Did you actually read my assessment of Maverick Carter before you casually implied I'm a racist?

If you are going to make vulgar remarks about Trump irrespective of his personal wealth and business acumen, that's perfectly fine, but you cant then get pissy because someone else calls LeBron's friends "idiots" and point to their success as the reason people shouldn't talk about them.

Your typical ire is on display in every race tinged post you make. And I feel comfortable in my assessment of your posting history.

And let's not get into a discussion about trumps business acumen. It's about as pointless as expecting you to honestly admit your posting motivation. Outside of the White Sox.

Why is it that you completely ignored the main thrust of my post in response to the Hawk, choosing instead to respond to my criticism of those so quick to dismiss LeBron's guys as idiots, or their motivation for doing so?
