Just heard it. Man, you ask Goff a question and he'll give a 10 minute answer. Goff just rambles on. Larry's ass needed to take control of the interview and "Shut that bitch up".

1. Goff talks out of both sides of his mouth. He clearly wants it known that Bernstein was to blame for the afternoon show. Yet he says the show was successful and he was wrongfully fired. Why didn't Larry follow up and ask him why he thought Bernstein wasn't prepared? I disagree. Bernstein watches the games and reads lots of articles. He carried Boers for 15 years. Bernstein came up with the content. Not Boers. We all know that. I just find it funny that Goff is saying that he loved Spiegel more than Bernstein. That is simply not true. He hated Spiegel and loved Bernstein. Goff is just doing this because it's convenient at this point.

2. That middle part of the show was something. Goff was patting himself on the back. He went on a two minute rant just complimenting himself. "Sponsors love me. The guys at the other radio station love me. People know I'm courteous and kind." Jesus Christ. We get it. You love yourself.

3. Goff said he wants to find something in Chicago and is hoping not to have to hop to another city because he doesn't want to leave his son. So that clearly means the lady isn't following his ass and he has no intention of getting married.

4. Feder didn't slander Goff. He reported correct numbers. Granted, not the important numbers for a sports talker. But correct numbers. And Goff said that they were always top 5 in the key male demo. Of course. Like I said before, no matter who is hosting, the SCORE slots are always gonna be top 5 with males 25-55.

5. Goff saying that he's the only radio host in Chicago history that has ever raised a black boy. I didn't get why he had to bring that up. He said "Jiggs had girls". So raising black girls is different then raising a black boy as far as social justice? I guess that's what he was saying. I don't know. Tough to get into Goff's brain sometimes.

6. It's clear. Goff needs to go into politics. Become a community leader like Obama did. That's his true calling. He needs to make a difference that way. Not on fucking sports radio.

But Goff not realizing any of his own broadcasting faults is his problem. Forget the social justice talk. Goff focused on that as to why he was fired. How about talking over guests and co workers and just being rude. Always having to dominate transition when it's 4 people. How about asking a guest a question and answering it before the guest could talk. How about insinuating that a caller was racist because he had a Chicago accent and liked hockey?

Goff was mad about them voiding of his contract. Called them classless or something like that. But they put it in his contract so he should have read it. I guess Goff was saying that if he's off the air for 30 straight days, it's voided. That's why it took a month for them to officially announce it.

I don't know why Goff is mad about this. He agreed to it. So all he got was 30 days paid after he was fired.

I heard that too, and that....seems like something you sue over. The idea that an employer can use their power to keep you off the air just to engage the provision in your deal that voids it for being off the air sound unconscionable.

If they could only void his deal after 30 days of him not being on the air, and they had the power to keep him off the air for 30 days, then the contract is just voidable at will. That doesn't seem right.

But this was written in his contract. He signed it. So I don't know what they did wrong legally. I assume Goff doesn't have a lawyer or agent. So they got this by him.

He was never fired right away. The SCORE made that clear right away. They just said he was off the air, not fired. All they did was keep him off the air. Then the 30 days are gone, they don't owe him a dime, so then he's officially gone. And the contract is void.

Like I said, he agreed to it. He probably didn't read the fine print. But that's why CBS and the SCORE puts this in fine print.
