Here is my take as a guy who likes Jason's work: You were fired not for talking about Colin Kaepernick kneeling on Friday but for telling me you loathed talking to me on Bears Monday. That, right there, is as close as you can get to a sin for a sports talker in the city of Chicago. You and Bernstein were living on borrowed time with that act.

Jason clearly has a rift with Bernstein. He was throwing some veiled but strong accusations about his professionalism. I also smile when Holmes puts on the dashiki and kufi to talk about the struggle from the perspective of an affluent suburb kid with two professional parents who was educated at great schools and has never had a day of unemployment. One of the very strange things about the Goff sycophants on Twitter and Facebook who are boycotting the Score is that they decry the new direction of the station by saying "this was never what the Score was all about." Really? When Mike North was going on about steak and blowjobs or having Fred Huebner read rap lyrics as stiltedly as possible, was that what the Score was all about? Was Murph's hokey sound-effect-laden show what the Score was all about? Laurence Holmes lusting over backup traffic reporters at channel 5, Doug and OB completely losing their shit over every Bears loss, Les telling stories that may have never happened, were those what the Score was about? The Score has never really been "about" anything, but if it can be said to have any overarching mission statement, I guess it would be a place for fans to call in and talk about sports. I wonder if the only Score these people know is the three years where Jason was a daily host. If anything isn't "what the Score is all about," it's telling callers not to come back.

Not sure. Goff claims that he has had multiple offers in other cities to start working right now. But he said he doesn't want to leave his baby (Never mentioned caring about leaving the lady).

So Goff said he's hoping for something to break for him in Chicago. Which pretty much means he's hoping ESPN 1000 hires him. Cuz he's not going to any other radio spot in this city. He claims that he's had meetings with ESPN 1000. But Goff said he's worried that when they go behind closed doors the ESPN 1000 management will say "All he wants to talk about is race".
