I know Bryant has been slumping, but how many times does a guy who hasn't homered in weeks come up with one in a clutch moment? That's baseball, shit like that happens all the time. Unless he's hurt, there is absolutely no reason to leave a former MVP on the bench in the 9th inning of a one run game.

I still follow the standings/stats and watch the games when I can this year, but I don't follow the "extra" stuff with the Cubs this year, like interviews, clubhouse storylines, etc., and I think it's primarily because I have Maddon fatigue.
