would the NBA just cancel the eastern conference playoffs if that photo happens? maybe not because boston fans would let a 60+ win season trick them in to believing they could be competitive

A healthy Boston squad can compete with that team and GS.

Doesn't LA have to move the Deng contract to get all 3 of them assuming they want max or near max deals?

Yeah that would be part of any Kawhi addition to the Lakers.

First thing that happens with that big 3 is Kawhi Leonard and ESPECIALLY Paul George instantly start looking mediocre and past-their-primes. LeBron ruins good players.

They would compete in every game but I couldn’t see them winning more than one game. The potential renewal of the Lakers-Celtics rivalry would be cooler if Ainge never signed Horford and waited to spend the cash on Blake Griffin.

Adrian Wojnarowski

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to send Dwight Howard to the Brooklyn Nets for center Timofey Mozgov, two future second-round picks and cash, league sources told ESPN.

Charlotte was determined to move out Howard, who has a $23.8 million expiring contract.

The Hornets will receive the Nets' second-round pick (No. 45) in Thursday's NBA draft and a 2021 second-round pick, league sources said.

Mozgov has two years and $32.7 million left on his contract. Charlotte general manager Mitch Kupchak signed Mozgov to the four-year, $64 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers two years ago.

The deal can't be completed until the moratorium ends on July 6. The Nets will need money to expire off the salary cap to take on Howard's salary.

The Nets will save nearly $17 million on the trade in the 2019-20 season, allowing them to create two max salary slots for 2019 free agency.

Howard, 32, an eight-time NBA All-Star, is changing teams for the third time in nearly three years, from the Houston Rockets to Atlanta Hawks to Charlotte and now Brooklyn.

Why would that be cooler? Cuz the Celtics would suck more?

America's not wrong. His track record is pretty dismal in that regard.

Kevin Love, Chris Bosh would be the most notable two. Pretty obvious Kyrie felt the same way about it.

Let’s focus one at a time. How did he ruin Chris Bosh?

Drastically reduced his stats and gave him a life endangering blood clot issue.

Drastically reduced Kevin love’s stats and gave him clinical depression.

Kyrie got out just in time I think.

I feel like just posting the link is causing this to unfortunately be overlooked, so let me point out that this article is about the guy who dubbed himself Playoff P and then put up 5 points in an elimination game getting his own 3 part free agency decision documentary.

It would be the best thing ever if nobody paid up for him and he ended up signing a JJ Reddick-esque one year deal with like the Kings or something.

Agreed this SC feature is ridiculous.

I've never bought into the Paul George superstar status hype.

He's def gonna get paid tho.

Mavs don’t think Doug McDermott is worth $10 million. Withdrew their qualifying offer this afternoon. Becomes an unrestricted free agent. I’m not the biggest Nurkic fan but Kris Dunn and Gary Harris would’ve made one hell of a defensive backcourt.

He'll probably sign with us since that way he won't have to worry about having to play in garbage time during a blowout playoff loss.

If you would have told me Rodney Hood and Wendell Carter Jr could both be added to the Bulls I wouldn't have believed you.

You gotta think there is no way Rodney Hood signs with the Cavs after the way he was treated through the playoffs.

As funny as that would be, I'm rooting even more for the scenario where the Lakers completely whiff on everyone. Unfortunately I think this series and Magic's recent comments mean they're definitely getting George at bare minimum.

@sam_amick: Rumblings of a Godfather Lakers offer for San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard have rival teams wondering if anyone else can compete here. The latest summer of LeBron has officially begun...

First domino could fall soon.
