2 games in a row where easy play w/ the infield in and they screw up. i don't believe they are this bad fundamentally. I think they're throwing some of these games on purpose for the sake of tanking.

He used the Sox as an example why the Mets shouldn’t trade Syndergaard/DeGrom because they’re a disaster after trading Sale/Quintana. Hard to argue.

Are the Mets making the playoffs if they keep those guys? How many times over the last decade have the Sox make the playoffs with Kenny gutting the farm system making trades every year? How many playoff series did Ventura get to manage in?

The Sox have 7 of the top 100 prospects in baseball in their system. Only the Braves have more with 8. Maybe this rebuild works out, maybe it doesn't. In two seasons, the Sox future looks brighter. In 2011 or 2013, you could not say the same if you were to look ahead two years from then.

Considering neither of the trade pieces in the Quintana deal, and 2/3rds of the Sale deal are in the minors, it seems a bit early.
