The Bulls could've tried to pay a price to climb their way up for somebody potentially more dynamic than Duke forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. but ultimately were content to lock in somebody considered certain to be good at the very least. It's a solid and safe choice in the way that has fit the John Paxson model over the years, a well-regarded prospect from a major program who's expected to be a hard-working professional.
