Not this All-Star like pace, but from what I've seen so far, I see no reason why they cannot be viable and reliable starters from here on out.

Game 2

Vasquez (3-1, 3.20) vs Mussina (1-3, 5.75)

I think we'll pound Mussina today. Vasquez should hold them to no more than 4 through 7 innings. That's what I'm looking for today. 9-5 Sox win.

I think it will be a close one, but Sox should come out on top today. All season they have made adjustments the day after having a game with so many men LOB.

This is an ESPN game. It's blacked out locally. Erin Andrews is at the Cell. She interviewed Chamberlin on Baseball Tonight before the game.

I guess ESPN's Monday games can be shown in the local markets. The Cubs game was shown. Not for Wenesday games.

Man, I want to hit against Mussina. His curve ball just floats to the plate. Not much of a fastball for the 39 year old. No excuse not to rock him today.

Huh? I was watching it on Comcast HD downstairs and the HD ESPN was blacked out.

Comcast doesn't have the fucking count up at all. Big thumbs down.

Sox suck so far this series; shades of 2007.

I know. That's what I said. It's blacked out on ESPN. Not for the Monday games. The Cubs were the Monday game and shown on ESPN. They're showing ESPN NEW during the course of the game.

I look like an idiot. We're making Mussina look like an All Star today. The rest of the AL killed him in his first 4 starts. Christ. He's throwing junk and the fastball tops out at 85. Sox are trying to pull everything instead of serving everything the opposite way.

Well, I told you Chamberlin pitching 2 innings yesterday was significant. Couldn't use him today. Too bad we were down 4 in the 8th. Good old Latroy Hawkins gave it up.

Of course they go to Mariano early. That sucked.

Really bad offensive game. Should have given a beat down to Moose. Now need to hope for a win tomorrow to grab one game.

Why do people swear so much in public?

They are deficient in one part of their education at least. They do not possess a vocabulary of adjectives and are unable to express themselves properly.
A (green, large, spreading, fallen) tree becomes a f-ing tree.
A (beautiful, ugly, old, thin fat) woman becomes a f-ing woman.

I could have used big words and multiple adjectives, but I considered who my audience was and figured I needed to dumb it down drastically.

Like Hawk said after Swisher took the 1sst pitch, the Ump has two different strike zones, one for the yankees and one for us, ours is a wider zone, so we just aint getting a fair shake. Cant hit when the stirke zone is 6 inches off the plate on either side.

Floyd is going to no hit them tonight, he is to good. Hawk was right on the pre game, he is a #1 on other staffs, our problem is we have like 4 # 1 starters.

I was definitely "up" on the Sox' chances this year and I know it's early, but this series is giving me the shits. I can't believe they can't hit Mussina or this Hughes kid who is 0-3.

I see shades of 2007 creeping up in the rearview mirror.

Learn how to fucking hit singles!

What the fuck?

The game is going on. It's on the radio. And WGN isn't going there. They're doing the news and at commercial right now.

Now they're doing the lottory drawing.

Well they got their commericals in. Didn't want to miss that News revenue. And the lotto. Jeez.

They missed 2 outs in the bottom half of the 3rd.

WGN wouldn't have missed outs of a Cubs game

It was absolutely a conscious decision by WGN news. WGN was only going to do a half hour news cast after the game. So, they got 24 minutes in during the rain delay at their regular 9 o'clock time. They were able to get that last bank of commercials in at 9:24 with the lotto and got to the Sox game at 9:28. They missed 5 minutes of the game.

Didn't effect the Sox broadcasting commercials either. They got back with 2 outs so they went to their normal, between innings, commercial block.

Floyd: 6 innings, 5 earned runs. Still has the lead. Probably won't pitch the 7th.

Hey, we owe him a cheap win. He pitched a gem his last game and got a no decision.

He fell behind a lot of hitters, and is probably kinda lucky to have only given up 5 runs. Hopefully the Sox can put 4 or 5 more on the board and salvage the last game of this series.

Well, Chamberlin being tired got us this last game. I'm sticking to that theory.

He pitched 2 innings in game 1. Yes, he was off yesterday. But he pitched into the 2nd inning in game 3. He wasn't as sharp because of his heavy work load.

JOE CREDE!!!!
