Nobody cares about record. The Cubs would have taken his Sox starts. That's what they traded for.

But he has sucked as a Cub for the most part. You don't trade a top 5 MLB prospect for what they have gotten. Despite the good contract. But the way he's pitching it's not a good contract. It's a contract for a number 4 guy. Which is what he is. So it's a fair contract.

That's not the way it works. He pitches the way he needs to pitch to win half his decisions.

its pretty apparent that the guy is a 5 inn pitcher. 3rd time around he gets hammered. The NL has figured this guy out.

Quintana is basically what the Cubs thought EJax would be ( cost controlled innings eater) but omg SABR stats have people ( including Jed, Theo , Joe) thinking he's just a notch below Kershaw. Maybe trade him to the Astros and watch those stats take off!!

Every single Cubs pitcher is pitching worse this year than last, except Lester...the most veteran pitcher on the staff.

Hickey is the problem. His "throw as many balls as you need to because eventually the opposing batter will swing at them" strategy is puke.
