The majority of the people in the crowd at Reds' games look like bridge trolls.

I'm going to take all my anger at this game and direct it at one person who has no fucking business being on this roster. Giminez blows. Caratini was doing just fine when he was up. Giminez while awful at the plate is even worse behind the plate. He has absolutely atrocious CS/SB stats. Darvish isnt even around for him so i have no idea wtf he is doing on the roster still. He better be gone tomorrow.

I think the bigger challenge is that Caratini is their best possible trade bait now that Adzolay is out for the year with the lat issue. Somebody may take Happ instead, but the fact that Caratini can catch is intriguing to a team like Florida who will be losing their starting catcher pretty soon when they trade Realmuto.

So they showcased Caratini at the beginning of the year until Giminez's opt-out approached, and now they're playing him every day until they decide if they have to trade him for pitching. If Caratini is still in the organization on August 1, I'd expect him to be called back up and for Giminez to be released.

I won't be surprised if Caratini gets dealt to Baltimore as part of a deal for Britton.

Giminez supposedly was one of these "David Ross guru with the pitcher" types but I don't see it. Caratini probably is along with Happ their best trade bait relative to being expendable and that pen definitely needs help especially at the back end given Morrow's history. To bad they didn't make a move on Herrera from KC prior to his trade to WASH.

The biggest problem is that Lester is the only starter right now that can go more than two times through the lineup. I'm not pining for Bosio, but I'm beginning to wonder if Hickey is really the right voice for the starters. That said, the bullpen has been lights out so who knows.

yes you have one legit pitcher. but he's old. can he make it all season? I think so.

Yu Darvish - question mark.
Q- 5 inn pitcher. 3rd time around he gets shelled.
Hendricks - not the same as 2 years ago. Seems like he also has a problem 3rd time around the order.
Chatwood - you could live w/ him if 2 of the above 3 were having good seasons. But right now he needs to be replaced.

Monty is a good stop gap but I dont think he can do it in the long run.

Where are guys like Tseng and Butler to give a blow to some of these guys. I mean those 2 can't be as bad as Chatwood can they?

Bullpen has been good but can they survive these the next 2 hottest months of the year?

two losses in a row and now a lineup without Bryant, Baez and Almora. Wonderful, Joe.

It’s ridiculous that Pat has to plug the “ComEd save of the game” when there is virtually no chance of that happening.

After Saturdays loss Joe was asked point blank why he sits almora who's hitting 316, and plays Happ hitting 220? He keeps harping on the learning process, picking spots vs pitchers, both having similar ops.

He's implying almoras success is a fluke and is do to him handpicking the pitchers he faces. Joe doesn't reward all-star caliber success with more playing time. This is another example of it's all about Joe. He's the king. Everyone gets equal ab's no matter how they hit. Players success doesn't mean anything if it conflicts with data. Almora has had an amazing all round year especially how he's been handled.

Joe's lucked out in the playoffs with the Cubs facing fellow idiots Dusty and roberts to name a couple. The Cubs talent won't cancel his mistakes if he opposes an on the ball manager this fall in the playoffs.

It's never boring with Joe's lack of a feeling for managing and his constant bonehead data driven decisions.

100% agreed.

I firmly believe Almora would be going to the all star game if Joe played him full time.

You could make an argument he's been the most consistent baseball player on the team so far this season.

In short, fuck Joe Maddon.

What in the ever-lovin' fuck happened today ?!!? I was "lucky" enough to hear a small part of the game, which turned out to be the pitcher hitting a Grand Fucking Slam. That was enough for me.

Brian Duensing is going through some personal shit, and forgot how to pitch.

Plus the saga of Almora and Joe Maddon continues.

I fully expect Theo to get off his dead ass and do something after this weekend regardless of tomorrow's result. Giminez will be DFA'd and Happ will be sent down with Bote and Vic coming up. I also expect Maples up immediately.

What in the hell are Jed and Theo doing? They are making moves left and right but they all involve the same shitty relievers. Get Bote and Vic and Maples up already. Happ is going to be a fucking butcher at 3rd today.

Sunday in Joe's pregame interview with Ron Coomer he continued to be the master bs-er. He said people focus too much on berating the Cubs, but instead should be praising the reds.

Brilliant how how he deflects any discussion of his managerial moves. Data driven moves are God, and are off limits. More and more and time goes on the more uppity and condescending he's becoming.

He does have a very good post all-star winning %. I don't know if that's due to resting players or luck of the schedule playing bsd teams.

Mark trestman clone who has a lot of talent? He's definitely complex.
