Because we have a Democracy and Trump hasn't done a single thing that is "anti-American."

You are just easily manipulated by the media and, quite frankly, sound like a fucking idiot.

The family separation stuff is certainly anti American and against what we espouse our values to be. That’s why even an irredeemable piece of shit like Trump was pressured into changing it.

Nope. Media manipulation. Trump merely enacted a zero tolerance immigration policy. The fact that so many were separated was the result of a court decision resulting from immigration attorneys suing over kids being brought to trials. His EO allowing them to stay with their family is also going to be challenged and will likely be ruled unconstitutional. No matter what Trump does, he will be the bad guy.

Edit: and chas is correct... it also happened under Obama. It was just less frequent because the immigration laws were more lax. The only reason people care now is because of the media.

Chas is not correct and you know it. He wasn’t speaking generally. He was speaking to me.

Leash, do you agree the EO was more of a ploy to calm the rabid CNN Wolf Blitzers of the world than anything else?

I don't remember you ranting like this when Obama was doing it?

You’re wrong. I started a Deporter in Chief thread at one time. Criticized him on several different issues including how he handled immigration.

This is the first I've heard of the court decision, can you elaborate?

Possibly. But you do realize that there was legislation proposed and Chuck Schumer shit on it and encouraged the president to use an EO, right?

Look, if you want me to defend Donald Trump's character, you've got the wrong guy. He is likely a despicable human being. But that doesn't absolve the politicians who are also despicable and pretend not to be, nor does it mean we should exaggerate stuff to make him look worse than he really is.

Donald Trump was elected, at least in part, because he promised to tighten borders. Whether we all agree with that or not is immaterial. You can't tighten borders while being hypersensitive to the conditions of children. It would be great if you could, but you can't. With a lot of people, anything short of basically eliminating borders will be met with moral outrage. And with many, even if he eliminated borders, he'd still be met with moral outrage.

If there is anything I'm not lacking it's confidence and self esteem.

That being the only comeback you have says a lot. You're so fake it's kinda sad at this point.

Outwardly exhibiting overconfidence is often a defense mechanism triggered in people who don't have much self-esteem. This is typically preferred to the second likeliest scenario in which the individual legitimately believes they are more competent than they really are and come off as a raging douchebag.

Go back to posting as Leash. It’s much more your actual persona.

The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside

How does one separate politics from protected class? What if Sanders were black or gay and the owner used "politics" as the pretext for non-service?

He is not the ultimate ANTI American. Stop being dramatic. He is an oafish buffoon. Are you trying to tell me that Donald Trump is less American than members of ISIS? You guys are losing your minds.

Beyond that, even if you think he is, do you really think his administration should be tormented in public, as CH suggested? Let's get a grip here.
