You can't be serious with this.

We all agree that Donald Trump is likely a bad person.

But what specific thing has he done to negatively impact your life aside from telepathically causing some random woman in Texas to say something mean to some other random guy in Texas.

Of course I'm serious. We elected our fox news watching uncle President. No denying that.

My life is fine and I've been pretty complimentary to Trump on his job. The link was to show that not all Americans are having a similar experience.

Unfortunately (joking) this country is not just made up of white men.

How do you presume to know how the guy in that video is doing? Maybe he's doing great.

To your last sentence, everything isn't about identity. We are all individuals, aren't we? I know a lot of legal Hispanic people who absolutely love Donald Trump. Why are you making assumptions based on color and gender?

It didn't look like he was doing well in that situation.

I made no assumptions or said anything specific. I said not everyone is doing well, which is factual.

There are some Harley Davidson workers about to join that group.

Why are you now defending Trump and all he reps?

It's possible to think the left has gone nuts without that.

Do you think that the #RESISTANCE is made up of the weak? It's not the struggling masses that are shouting at Trump officials in fine dining restaurants.

If it were the weak, you'd be on board?

I would be on board if I thought it were anything other than grandstanding because a preferred candidate lost.

Fair enough. So I'm guessing of it was a Hispanic person who just had family members separated from each other at the border, it'd be ok.

If that were the case I would consider it more legitimate than what's actually occurring which is really nothing more than pouting because Hillary Clinton lost an election.

This country is only about three years away from openly shooting (or stabbing if you're anti-NRA) people if you disagree with their politics.

One of my liberal friends has a dear friend who is a raging pinko. He pretty much wants any white male who has been successful to be shot, and their money confiscated. Funny thing is that he's a reasonably successful white male. If the Red Hen owner had stabbed Sanders, I am quite confident that he would have found a way to applaude the action.

Our founders made the rules very simple:
- Win enough elections, change laws.
- Win lots of elections everywhere, change the Constitution.
- Lose elections, suck it up.
- Try to overthrow the government, good luck with that....

I used to think so but not anymore. The left is too gay and the right likes prepping more than actually throwing down. I think we'll get a bombing or two at worst and maybe that will be the point everyone decides to fucking chill with the rhetoric.

The owner of Red Hen feared for his life.

Racism! Trump is an evil racist. So it's so terrible for brown people here. As proof here is a video with someone calling someone names. Jesus christ. By this level of reasoning it's terrible to be white here if we showed rates of black on white crime. Get a grip.

I understand that racism is a sore spot for you.

I never even said he was racist. Just posted a video of an asshole using his name and words.

If that last is racist for using Trump's words though....

Anyway, I'm just pointing out that while many of us are doing well under Trump, some people not so much.

It's not a sore spot for me in the least. It's just another example of using racism as some mic drop. Brown people are suffering you don't see it because of privilege. It's interesting how selective the racism police are based on a posting in the official Trump thread.

Did you read the column? It's not scary.

Quote:
Instead, some progressive celebrities have said some bad words, and some people have treated administration officials with the sort of public opprobrium due members of any other white nationalist organization. Liberals are using their cultural power against the right because it’s the only power they have left, and people have a desperate need to say, and to hear others say, that what is happening in this country is intolerable.

Sometimes, their strategies may be poorly conceived. But there’s an abusive sort of victim-blaming in demanding that progressives single-handedly uphold civility, lest the right become even more uncivil in response.

This is accurate, and I don't even like Michelle Goldberg. We're seeing what was the downright meanest political movement in recent history now start screaming "be nice to us!!!"

Maybe what's scary is that liberals have been so worthless that they have no power in government and can only preside over a sort of shadow government in media and entertainment?

Because they are mean we should harass them in public at every turn. This is society paralysis, and it needs to stop somewhere.

We do have a crisis of democracy. The refusal of about half the country to accept the election results. Declaring the administration a "white nationalist organization" is just another tool to be used in an attempt to nullify the results, no different than the phony Russia investigation, Stormy Daniels, or the hysteria regarding border policy that is ever so slightly different than it has been over the past eight years.

Paralyzing our entire society? Our entire society doesn't live around Washington. I think you're giving away the game here: you don't really give a shit about whatever sorts of minor inconveniences one Trump toady or another has to endure while standing in line at a deli, which is what this is about. What you really fear is that anyone whose jobs can be said to directly or indirectly immiserate large numbers of people -- perhaps various middle-management types? perhaps cops? -- will be protested, that they'll be hassled or shown up in front of their families or otherwise not allowed to compartmentalize their lives.

Not true. The "cosmopolitan" liberals were such condescending assholes that people actually voted for Donald Trump. Call people rednecks and religious zealots for two generations, and they're gonna turn on ya. Now the new expression is that they're not cosmopolitan? Come on.

As far as meanness goes, the writer conflates Trump and his minions with all the evil in the world. This (Goldberg's column) is partisan bullshit, not analysis.
