Here's what gets me about today's stupid kid: Today's stupid kid (including my own) don't even know who Benedict Arnold was. I'm trying to enjoy Carol Brady and my kids are like, "Who's Benedict Arnold?" Dolts. I distinctly remember watching this episode of The Brady Bunch when I was like seven and I had no idea who Benedict Arnold was and so I took it upon myself to go ask.

I'm so sick of this generation

Is the expression 'you benedict arnold!' still used in this country?

everyone whines about the younger generation. then the younger generation grows up and starts whining about the upcoming younger generation.

things will be fine.

My guess is the same percentage of kids who knew who Benedict Arnold was when you grew up in the 20’s is the same percentage it is now old man.

Agreed. That’s good furniture right there.

Jimmy Durante has also been lost to the current culture. No kids or even 30s/40s people know who he was.

 Yeah, I had no clue who Benedict Arnold was. The only reason I did was because of The Brady Bunch. I ask kids today who he was and they have no idea. I also learned some stuff about the Grand Canyon . . . and that's about it.

You’re a Sox fan so I have to believe that somewhere along the way you were educated by somebody.

That's true....but never have I come across a single reference to Benedict Arnold. (Well, like twice.) From what The Brady Bunch led me to believe, he practically gave the country away to immigrants or whoeva we were fighting in that war. I was hoping he'd be more of a bizarro James Bond.

All I know is that it used to be if you wanted to win the national championship, you had to schedule a good first game and win it. And we did just that--we schedule a doozy in Great Britain--and then went on to win ten straight--nine of them on the road.

I believe Leash is following the conventional logic that Maddon will be canned after this year and replace Renteria on the south side next year.

4 kids on double dare did not know the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean or the large machine that resurfaces the ice at ice rinks.

I read an article that we are all getting dumber especially the kids now because they never have to think much. The connections in the brain aren't as strong because we google whatever with out thinking about it and have to think about less small stuff like phone numbers.

Maddon would make a fine third base coach for Ricky...

That'd be awesome if the show was one of those where you could ask a question for a hint. I'd ask, "Was she hot?" and no matter what the host said, I'd reply, "Josephine Baker."

Double Dare...is that redhead guy still doing it?

He has a minimal role. Liza Koshy is the host. The kids don't seem as into it.

My son got bumped from his golf group the other day and put with another group of 3. I heard him talking to somebody and he said the 2 boys were a year younger but the girl in my group was pretty cute.
