Here's what gets me about today's stupid kid: Today's stupid kid (including my own) don't even know who Benedict Arnold was. I'm trying to enjoy Carol Brady and my kids are like, "Who's Benedict Arnold?" Dolts. I distinctly remember watching this episode of The Brady Bunch when I was like seven and I had no idea who Benedict Arnold was and so I took it upon myself to go ask.

My guess is the same percentage of kids who knew who Benedict Arnold was when you grew up in the 20’s is the same percentage it is now old man.

Jimmy Durante has also been lost to the current culture. No kids or even 30s/40s people know who he was.

Yeah, I had no clue who Benedict Arnold was. The only reason I did was because of The Brady Bunch. I ask kids today who he was and they have no idea. I also learned some stuff about the Grand Canyon . . . and that's about it.

That's true....but never have I come across a single reference to Benedict Arnold. (Well, like twice.) From what The Brady Bunch led me to believe, he practically gave the country away to immigrants or whoeva we were fighting in that war. I was hoping he'd be more of a bizarro James Bond.

you guys should watch TURN. they did an excellent rendition of Arnold. Great series btw. Great final season. very accurate historically down to the death march's.

4 kids on double dare did not know the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean or the large machine that resurfaces the ice at ice rinks.


I read an article that we are all getting dumber especially the kids now because they never have to think much. The connections in the brain aren't as strong because we google whatever with out thinking about it and have to think about less small stuff like phone numbers.

Maddon would make a fine third base coach for Ricky...

My son got bumped from his golf group the other day and put with another group of 3. I heard him talking to somebody and he said the 2 boys were a year younger but the girl in my group was pretty cute.
