Hendricks is a giant suck fest. Never been a huge fan, he was serviceable at best. He is a 4 or 5 at best, not a 1 or 2. Doesn't have the stuff to be a top 2. Please stop with the Maddux shit as well. Not even close to that level.

Way outdated. A few nice views from the upper bowl. Otherwise, meh. I spent $53.25 on three beers.

i thought the same and this was 10 years ago. maybe like 5 years ago they started calling it a classic ballpark. i thought it was sort of plain. I liked how it is actually in a ravine, that is the cool part. But it was pretty average.

Still, he throws wiffle balls. You can't hit it.

Yeah I was just thinking not one batter could pick up that 90mph slider.

Many thought he was worthy to be considered an ace on the Cub.

I agree with this. He is a 3-5, not a top of the rotation guy. Just doesn't have the stuff to be an ace, even though he won an ERA title in 2016. He gets in trouble when he tries to throw harder, as it results in less movement on his pitches. He depends on weak contact, brought about by pinpoint control of pitches with good downward movement. hen he gets pitches up, they go a long way, because he lacks the velo to get it by hitters. That said, when he has the command of his pitches, he can be extremely effective.

Kershaw tonight.......not gonna be easy to gain the split.

We came in up top and I took this nice pic. But we sat down the right field line in the lower bowl. We’re in left today. Weird how you come in up high and then have to go down nine floors. Just the topography of the area.

From what I've read, they designed it so the level you're on has its own parking. So if you are on 3, you drive up to that level of the ravine and when you get out of the car you don't have to go up any stairs.

You guys say it's dated, but to me (not having been there), it seems like the perfect baseball setting.

Yea, when he led the league in ERA and dominated in the post season including two starts to win the pennant and WS clincher, people got all crazy and started praising him.

Dennis, ravine is in the name. You have to go down into the ravine.

The Uber drop off was up top. LA has some pretty views in an otherwise sprawling suburban looking city. It’s a dated stadium.

It's nice when the smog doesn't block them.

LA, itself, is a shithole. Some of the surrounding areas are nice. I think Santa Monica and Beverly Hills are what people really think about when they think LA. But the actual City is nothingness filled with homeless encampments. Hollywood is a total shithole -- makes KAM's in Champaign look clean.

Like I said it’s in a ravine. That’s the cool part. Usually every stadium you enter you go up. At DS you go down.

Also if they flipped the stadium they would have had a majestic shot of downtown la in the background instead of the hills.

Also for its time it was a architectural wonder. No posts and obstructed views.

When they built it they forced many families out of that area.

All that being said it’s okay. Very ordinary even with the upgrades.

So sick of the monetization of almost every pitch. In the top of the 7th inning alone, before there were even two outs:

"This pitching change brought to you by X"
"The 7th inning stretch will be brought to you by X"
"In a few batters, the Cubs will have the heart of the order up. The heart of the order is brought to you by X"
"If the first batter of the game gets a hit, X will donate $100" (This is the fucking 7th inning! And I checked, the Cubs leadoff man in the 1st did NOT get a hit)

When you watch the weather in LA on tv there are like four different zones. It can be 76 at one and 99 at the other.
