I'd never heard of that movie before a couple of days ago.

You are all irredeemable people. The Sandlot is an American classic. It probably hurts you that not all men grew up playing with Barbies.

Good clean fun -- This "Sandlot" star just dodged the pen.

Mike Vitar — who starred as Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez in the beloved baseball family film — avoided prison time for an alleged 2015 beat-down of a college grad student, TMZ reported.

The actor-turned-firefighter faced up to four years behind bars after being charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon in December 2015, but he reportedly reached a plea deal and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery to evade the slammer.

Under the plea agreement, Vitar, 38, must pay a $2,000 fine, attend weekly anger management classes for a year and finish 90 days of community service, according to the celebrity gossip site.

He'll also reportedly have to pay a yet-to-be-determined restitution fee to the victim of the attack, with the total amount set to be decided at a hearing in February.

It is a shitty movie. It is not good. There are MANY far better baseball movies.

Do you think it would have been better with Kevin James in the lead?

Never seen it. Seems like one of those movies where you either love it or hate it based on what I've heard over the years.

it's a cute movie for kids but it was after my time. i was in high school when it came out, and i had no interest in it. people who are 3-4 years younger than me are huge fans of it. it's like their "Goonies".

i just couldn't buy denis leary as a "dad". even a bad one.

We need a reboot with an all female cast. Sandra can play James Earl Jones character.

Do they still play baseball or it is a softball movie?

Women can do anything.

Very mediocre kids movie.

It did provide the iconic: "You're killin' me, Smalls!"

I've heard that place is pretty good. It's an old KFC building. KFC has an interesting policy (might be industry-wide with the big fast food companies) wherein if you open a new restaurant in one of their closed locations, you cannot serve any items from their menu (fried chicken, for example,) lest you create the appearance of re-opening a KFC, or capitalizing off of their branding.

Dashing every chef's dreams of being a KFC knockoff!

I know, I think it's attempting to avoid a McDonald's/McDowell's situation in real life. "We've got EIGHT herbs and/or spices!" Anyway, my favorite repurposed fast food building is the Peter Frances Geraci Taco Bell on Cicero and Berteau.

One of the local kfc’s closed down years ago and was replaced by a fried chicken place in same location. I think they moved out after the local Mexican place (in an old Hardees I believe) burnt to the ground and took up residence in the old KFC. Don’t know anything about the butler’s fried chicken, just that it disappeared one day.
