Nice sweep of the Twins, but the pitching is a huge concern. Blame it on whatever you want, but it was bad. The bullpen is slowly morphing into the shit it was last year.

No it was just Maples. I don't think he's an MLB pitcher. Nice gimmick slider and velocity, but zero control.

Considering the heat and wind blowing out the pitching was great outside of Maples.

Maples and Chatwood are really the only things you can even begin to gripe about, but idk why you'd focus on that when the Cubs scored 35 runs in 3 games.

wow the final score looks too close for comfort. i know they had a big lead early on. i guess what people said about maples is right. it's a gimmicky pitch he has and MLB hitters will figure it out. guess that's what happened today.

Duensing hasn't been right since a week before his dad died, and he's only gotten worse since the funeral.

I have faith he'll get it right by the postseason.

The bullpen in general has been really fucking good.

The Twins sweep was nice, though who would have thought when it was 9-1 that it could turn into a nail biter? Lester did well to get through 5 innings with the wind blowing out as hard as it was. 11-2 to lead the league in wins......never would have believed it would be possible before the season began. And he hits a 3 run homer.....have a day!

The team is back on track, having won 4 straight games. With the Tiger coming in next, there is good reason to believe another series victory should be in store for them. Maybe even another sweep.
