It's not just little booms here and there. We are talking a whole city of folks with expendable income having their own personal large firework shows every night.

We live halfway down this giant hill overlooking the city. There is nothing cooler on the 4th of July then seeing these people light up the entire city with fireworks for 3 hours, but the lead up to it every night when people gotta work is annoying.

Maybe I'm just getting old.

I used to be a big advocate of that. Then I met more veterans who we’re legitimately messed up and hated that shit that I changed my mind and realized there’s absolutely nothing wrong with fireworks as far as ptsd soldiers go.

Someone on my street has been blowing off those huge ones for like 5 days straight (m-80s?)
I don't have dogs, and so far it hasn't set off any car alarms, it's just irritating that no one seems to care about illegal explosives,
but god forbid I plug a guitar into an amp when my windows are open on a fucking Saturday afternoon.....
I haven't even bothered to set up a drumkit in this place.
Needless to say, the KPD should reconsider their priorities....

yeah i play softball with a team that is sponsored by a company that works with PTSD soldiers. like guys who drank themselves into a stupor and have tried to kill themselves at some point. a few of them play on the team. they hate teh "think of those with ptsd" stuff during the firework season.

also once we saw the fireworks display at Epcot no other firework display compares. i don't even care to light off my own even though we live in the middle of nowhere.

We have a passive-aggressive fireworks war going on.

In one corner we have asshole #1 who was blowing off fireworks until 3 am. Fuck him.

When walking my dogs this morning at 7:00 I found asshole #2 in the other corner, blowing off fireworks in response to the asshole who was doing it until 3 am.

No matter who wins, we all lose.
