Invited some friends over last minute. got about 10 lbs of babyback ribs. garlic, pepper, salt rub. Smoker for 4 hours. Should be enough time hopefully. in honor of our French friends i made up a BBQ sauce inspired by our trip to normandy last year. onion, apple, celery, thyme, pepper, cider vinegar, sugar, honey, Worcestershire Sauce. (not sure about that last ingredient, but it needed something).

At a family party yesterday, it was brats, burgers, hot dogs, salads, and assorted sweets. Plenty of cold beer as well. Hot & muggy, but a good time.

I would've killed for one of those...we were at my aunt's in Arlington...watched the clouds all around us...just had a light sprinkle around 8...it was hot as fuck back there yesterday.

it was seriously unbearable out there. I think there may be some kind of govt plot about that is changing the reported temps. Felt like 105, not 95.

Same. We always go to my mother-in-laws condo because she lives near ground zero. Continuous rain, then the power went out (thus no AC) and they cancelled the fireworks. To make matters worse, we were hosting a couple of Brits and I think they found the whole thing amusing.
