A Cub hits a homer, and Len and JD give you the distance it traveled.

You then go onto www.wgntv.com and enter the sweepstakes to win roundtrip airfare.

Have you ever actually won the drawing?

How did you enter? Mail or internet? (yes, several years back you actually had to MAIL the info in).

Hard to believe they actually give away 5 flights per homerun.

For sure, joined the Mile High Club on a flight to Atlanta in 2003. “It” flew about 15 inches right into the back of the door.

yea I don't know how the third largest airline in the world could possibly afford to give away $500 worth of flights to Orlando every time some gay baseball team hits a home run.

One time I won a contest with an overnight show with J Hood - this is back around maybe 2001? So I was coming back from a Blackhawks game at 1 AM and they were doing a contest where they simulated a series between the 80s Celtics and the 90s Bulls and said who do you think would win? So I called up and said Bulls and the producer said we already have a guy for the Bulls so I said oh I mean the Celtics. Then my friend and I are coming up with reasons why we think they would win, but we don't know 80s Celtics basketball at all, but they end up winning the simulation and for my efforts I win 4 tickets to the boat show which I never claimed or wanted.

only thing i own was early 90s - Murph show browns chick and pasta.

ok.... i will finally admit it. I cheated.

Murph's question was about baseball uniforms. I was lucky enough to get on the air and try to win, and i use to always get the yearly MLB catalogue . This was before internet.

So murph asked me some question about which teams uniform had this or that. I looked at the page w/ all the uniforms and 'guessed ' it right. Murph knew as he asked me 'are you looking thru a book or something?'. I said no.

Then I won. But I had to give my name to Murph's producer so I could get the Browns Chicken and Pasta prize mailed to me. I wonder if he still remembers me all this 25 years later. I wonder. I called him last year during the Cubs run and he remembered my voice. He had a nickname for me which I won't say but he said it. What a great memory!

And that browns chicken and pasta was sooooooo goood. still remember how good it tasted all these year later.

When I was about 9 or 10, I won a dirt bike raffle at the local 4th of July festival.

When I picked up that awesome black dirt bike at our local Farm & Fleet, the name on the side of it was BANDIT.

You named your wife after a bicycle? Shades of Citizen Kane.

The only thing I ever won was back in the day when I won two movie tickets calling into the old wls-fm or b96, I can't remember. Anyway, the movie was ET, at the old Old Orchard 1 theater across from the venture.
