The Kings had some unfortunate news strike in the middle of summer league action Saturday night. Their rookie, and No. 2 overall pick Marvin Bagley III suffered a hip/groin injury in their match against Phoenix. That injury will force Bagley out of their next game Sunday and cause him to be doubtful for Tuesday.

On Monday, Bagley will have an MRI to see the extent of his injury. The results of that MRI will likely determine how the Kings choose to approach the rest of summer league.

Marvin Bagley III experienced a tweak in his right hip flexor/groin area during tonight's game vs. Phoenix in Las Vegas. He will undergo an MRI on Monday and more information will be shared at that time. He will not play Sunday against the Clippers and is doubtful on Tuesday when the Kings take on the Memphis Grizzlies.

Even if not serious, just sit him out the rest of Summer League. Groin injuries need time to heal

Tomorrow: going to catch Grayson Allen versus the Knicks in the pavilion for a bit, then head over to see JJJ vs Bamba, and finally Bulls vs Lakers. If you’re watching on TV and spot a guy in the crowd in a Big Baller t-shirt, chances are Wolf is sitting next to him

No he isn't. Got his pocket picked and can only get by his man if their is a screen. Looks slow and doesn't have a handle. Will be a bust.

will he be better than Markelle Fultz?

Fultz will be much better than Trae Young.

i saw this on espn yesterday. i was like isn't the season over? Is baseball that bad for ratings ESPN needs to televise minor league NBA games and hype them up like a May playoff game?

I can find countless examples of guys stinking in the Summer League and going on to stink in the league.

Confident in saying Carter will have no trouble against tall white guys

Really like Carter's ability to anticipate the angle of a rebound.

Quick feet and closes out well to disrupt shots.

Fairly certain you didn't watch the game. When team plays well it doesn't matter. When they don't play well it somehow matters. Typical comments from a known hypocrite.

No one (very few anyway) watches Summer League for team results anyway. You watch to see how first round picks are faring. That's it and by that metric Carter looked good once again.

Kid looks like a player. As a Bulls fan i'm happy and as a non Bulls fan you aren't. Tough.

Hypocrite! I'll have you know I was a Bulls fan until they put a team not capable of making the playoffs on the court.....and won't make it again this year even in a horrible division....stop worrying about me and start worrying about the Bulls management and what the put on the floor! Only a Polly Anna ass could take any good out of last nights game!

Thanks for admitting you are a fair weather fan. Wendell Carter impressed again. Only a fool would think otherwise.

Yeah you are watching for about 20-30 rookies. Just like you watch college basketball for Duke and Kentucky. You aren't watching it for the sparkling play of the Southern Illinois Salukis are you?

Tried watching some of the game last night and it was pretty bad.

Is Summer League basically glorified pick up games?

I don't watch all of the teams either. I watch the teams with Rookies picked in the top 10-15.

My basic point is that if i want to get a gauge on what Trae Young will look like as a Pro i have a much better chance of finding out by watching him against other pros than i would by watching him drop 40 on Colorado.

There is nothing i get from that since he is likely playing against vastly inferior talent.

It is not the best basketball you ever want to see but there is a higher level of talent and every player attests to it during interviews.

It's a bunch of rookies or 2nd year players who have never played together, and they've gone through maybe 1 week of practices. Of course the quality of play is going to be poor.
