I learned a lot by watching all the cooking shows on PBS. Martin Yan taught me how to prepare without cutting myself.
I learned a lot from both Batalli and Emril. The old Food Network was great for learning ,now it is a shit show.

Really? Because I think calling someone with Fragile X syndrome a retard would be terrible. Calling your friend a retard for doing something stupid and injuring himself in the process, that's just how people talk.

Wrong again, Bob;

Using 'R" as an insult is not cool, and one post simply stating that is all it would have taken to get the point across. Instead that was dragged out for MANY pages. This happens often at CFMB, and I know I've done it before.

At least Reason goes away for months at a time. You don't.

Reason being here or not has nothing to do with your failure to understand the simple concept of what actually derailed this thread.

Sometimes my onions don't caramelize. I've always had trouble with them.

What's happening? Walk me though it. Uniform size? Low and slow? You can add a little water if its sticking, it'll evaporate. One thing we do at the restaurant is throw them all on the flat top grill and THEN turn it on. You get some softening before you get any searing. I add salt, I don't remember if you are supposed to.

I didn't put too much onions, uh, Paul. Three small onions. That's all I did.

Does the crock pot have power?

Besides, 99% of Hawaii's threads are terrible and Reason's overall point wasn't wrong. HY is either an act, or there are some serious issues going on.

I'm all for using the word retard as much as possible, but even I know that the bolded above is completely wrong as of about 5 years ago.

Perfect analogy: Using Frank's logic, its ok to call a gay person a burrito as an identifier, but not ok to call a straight person a burrito as an insult.
