This aint about victimhood. Frankly that is old at this point too. Pittmike tried to save you with the whining shit. Here are the comments here.
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=112790&start=420#p301271130,000 lynchings by your estimates and most were probably criminals. You words. I have never heard that blacks in the South were lynched because they were criminals.
I really want to know where the cover and bullshit about victimhood will come from. Those that were lynched are the real victims but the apologist racket that you have going won't even acknowledge that. It runs that deep. You can't even acknowledge that they were killed senselessly. Just got to always find justification for the unjustifiable.
What do you think lynchings were? Typically they were because a mob thought that the person was a criminal. I believe many innocent people were killed, and that lynchings are a terrible way to perform criminal justice. I actual found something that puts the total at closer to 5,000. And there are also plenty of whites included:
https://web.archive.org/web/20100629081 ... state.htmlAgain, it was a terrible practice, but you are pushing the notion that it was some state-sponsored culling of the population. I would say that blacks in the Jim Crow South are similar to Palestinians in Israeli -considered second class citizens, and likely not given much protection under the laws in practice. But if you look at the rights or standard of living they would have had elsewhere in the world it unfortunately would have been similar or much worse had they lived elsewhere.
For example blacks in Weimar Republic Germany faced force sterilization. The native population of Liberia basically lived in slavery like conditions under the control of Americo-Liberians.
The original point of this is not to say that Jim Crow was not terrible, but to point out that the United States has provided benefits to all of it's citizens compared to people living elsewhere.
So now it goes from they probably were criminals to they thought they were criminals? Still doesn't justify it. Just like the guy in the video beating the guy senseless for using a racial slur isn't justifiable.
Trying to suggest that blacks had it ok because others may have had it worse is a silly argument as well.Jim Crow was hell for black people in America.
At no point did i ever say it was state sponsored either.
