Gotta rip down some drywall and find a leak in our basement bathroom.

Anybody know a guy? Preferably on the south side?

Call your insurance, and say a pipe broke. Turn off the electricity, and find it yourself. Then call the contractor when you have the insurance check.

I think you just need a sledgehammer to find the leak.

You may need a plumber to fix it, unless you can do plumbing.

You may want a contractor to fix the drywall...that shit is nasty.

Or

Move

You've done this?

I can definitely rip down the dry wall and search.

I have a plumbing guy if you end up needing work on the pipes or whatnot.

This is not good advice.

If you are 100% certain the leak is in the wall rip the drywall down. I would be willing to bet if that is the case the leak is a minor problem. Seems odd a pipe in a wall broke in summer though.

We've had intermittent water issues in that bathroom for the last year. Our drain pipe was clogged and we fixed that and thought/hoped that was the issue but the people who lived in the house before us seemed like they took on projects that were too big for them and just half assed it. They put a whole deck around the pool with no railings on the stairs. They tried to install a 3 pronged outlet where there was only wiring for 2.

Yep. I had a good idea where the leak was though. Take pictures then get a plumber you trust to say it was a break/defective pipe.

Will do later today.

Got my contractor guy (who I thought was too busy) coming Friday to look at it, too.
