Our election results are not handled over the internet by some giant mainframe. What did the Ruskies do exactly? I watch a lot of news but no one has a direct answer for that. They controlled facebook algorithms with fake news? They rented billboards?

Whatever they did,our government has to crackdown, without hesitation

but...

C'mon, eventually it comes down to the person in the booth and a feeling they get from a candidate. I really think it's a plot by Democrats to control the narrative for 4 years comparable to Obama's birth certificate BS. Our country is the one that suffers in the end.

They made democrats mad apparently. Much like the hanging chads in 2000 they seem to have problems with first term elections of republican presidents.

I think it came down to two things:

1. They “hacked” into DNC personal computers through simple phishing that the Dems fell for but the GOP did not. They found some embarrassing emails and leaked them.
2. They bought some anti-Hillary Facebook ads, but I believe they also bought some anti-Trump to create distrust for both sides.

I don’t think either thing had any material effect on the election.

You ask what the Russkies did - they used “fake news” (note - not what Trump and Jorr call fake news, but the real meaning of the term) via social media to specifically target voters in swing states with seemingly legit stories designed to make those who might not be already decided to distrust Clinton to the point that Trump seemed like a better alternative. Don’t think that people can be that easily influenced? As of December 2017, 51% of Republicans believed Obama was born in Kenya.

It's a correct statement. If Russia had a chance they would have to alter thousands of individual voting machines but according to this article, those type of machines have been replaced.

https://www.livescience.com/56789-weird ... hines.html

Problems cropped up when hackers would demonstrate vulnerabilities, as at this August's Black Hat conference, when researchers from Symantec showed that tampering with an individual voting machine could be done using a $15 device. Last year, Wired.com reported that Virginia decertified electronic touch-screen voting machines because they were too vulnerable to attacks over their Wi-Fi connections.

Optical-scan machines made a comeback in the wake of the problems discovered, so for the most part, voters will see the optical-scan machines, as various districts have re-instituted them. That said, the touch-screen machines, for example, are still used in 30 states. Some areas have touch-screen machines equipped with "voter-verified paper audit trail printers" (California and Colorado, for example). However, other states, such as Florida, do not, making audits and recounts problematic.

I've been wondering the same thing, jimmy. Ok, so Russia meddled in the election but will one of these news outlets tell us how? I hate how vague the MSM is.

Russia wins! TFG calls for guaranteed income, a communist Soviet 'crown jewel'.

In his first major speech since leaving office, former President Barack Obama endorsed the idea of providing a universal basic income.
Speaking at the Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture in South Africa on Tuesday, Obama raised the notion of guaranteed income as a way to reduce what he called "yawning disparities" in wealth, education, and security across different socioeconomic groups.

"It's not just money that a job provides," said Obama. "It provides dignity and structure and a sense of place and a sense of purpose. So we're going to have to consider new ways of thinking about these problems, like a universal income, review of our workweek, how we retrain our young people, how we make everybody an entrepreneur at some level. But we're going have to worry about economics if we want to get democracy back on track."

Soviet era Russians don't mind a strong US. It ensures their relevance.

What they want is a weaker Europe. Readjust your chart reflecting that knowledge.

Didnt Ted Kennedy get the Russians to try and intervene in the 84 elections because he hated Reagan so much?

IF you think Russia was responsible for affecting thousands of voting machines across the country at different times of the day at thousands of different precincts AND the news media has ignored that story by being so vague about this whole thing in this era of Trump hate, than you got one Hell of a scoop!

I just want to say,I think Trump is a dimwit too but when it comes to this whole Russia thing, I want an explanation about WHAT they have done. False stories on Facebook doesn't quite cut it with me.

Quote:

If these progressives want to know what actual treason looks like, they should consult liberal lion Ted Kennedy, who not only allegedly sent secret messages to the Soviets in the midst of the cold war, he also begged them to intervene in a U.S. presidential election in order to unseat President Ronald Reagan. That’s no exaggeration.

According to Soviet documents unearthed in the early 1990’s, Kennedy literally asked the Soviets, avowed enemies of the U.S., to intervene on behalf of the Democratic party in the 1984 elections. Kennedy’s communist communique was so secret that it was not discovered until 1991, eight years after Kennedy had initiated his Soviet gambit:

The big issue is if the Trump campaign was in anyway aware of, directed, or made use of any of this Russian effort. If he did, it is likely treasonous and someone should be hung for it.

In 1790, the Congress of the United States enacted that:

"If any person or persons, owing allegiance to the United States of America, shall levy war against them, or shall adhere to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States, or elsewhere, and shall be thereof convicted on confession in open Court, or on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act of the treason whereof he or they shall stand indicted, such person or persons shall be adjudged guilty of treason against the United States, and SHALL SUFFER DEATH"

Note I did not capitalize that last part. The Founding Fathers did.

Well they for sure broke into private US servers to gather intel which they likely gave to the Trump campaign. Otherwise they created thousands of social media accounts to spread misinformation. I mean, that's what we know so far. Mueller likely has many more details but he aint talking.

So how is this different than the literally hundreds of political commercials Americans get every election year with wild accusations and half truths about candidates? It's all lies and bullshit, the question is who's slinging it.

It is different because they are Russian! It is ILLEGAL for unregistered foreign agents to conspire to effect elections in the US. Sorry Jimmy, one is legal, one is not. BIG DIFFERENCE.
