So Bryant has a serious issue or not? The Cubs are like a hockey coach about their injuries.

It sure sounds serious. If Bryant has to go on the DL, Theo should just stand pat and not waste any of the little minor league talent left.

The good news is that both Villanueva and Candelario are hitting under .240, so losing them over the last couple of years hasn't been a big deal.

Also they have maaaaad infield depth

I figured Baez or Russell could play 3rd right?

Baez has often in the past.

And Happ can play 2b. Lots of options.

Zobrist at 2nd and Baez at 3rd works. Also, I would assume that Bote gets recalled if KB goes on the DL. It might be good to further showcase Bote right before the trade deadline too. Assuming Bryant will be back shortly after the deadline.

If your ex-MVP goes on the DL, I don't think it would be very wise to trade Bryant's fill in at 3rd base before he is able to come off of the DL.

Bote would net you what, a third tier middle reliever if that?

I think it was 5-head the other day who was chirping about Ian Happ leading Cubs in OBP and in top 20 for all of MLB. He's just 10-15 PAs away from qualifying.

I was surprised and took a look at his stat line. Motherfucker has a .398 BABIP and is only batting .268.

The crash is gonna suuuuuck.

The Mets better include some middle relievers for a package like that.

I'm guessing when he comes of the DL again, plays for a bit and the shoulder is screwed up again.

BOTE TIME !

I'd rather see La Stella get more time than Bote.

I'd rather not have La Stella in the infield.

The solution is simple, cortisone shots on that shoulder till November, then get surgery in November, but Bryant is one of those no alcohol, no drug weirdos I think.

I didn’t hear it but Carmen and Jurko are sounding like Kap dropped a nugget that Bryant may have a torn labrum and be out for the year

On Mully & Hanley, Levine also said he wouldn't be surprised if it was a long-term thing requiring surgery.

Followed up here by a 20+ pitch, multi-walk inning.

Looks like Zach Godley will join the list of recent middling starting pitchers to push the shit in on this Cub's offense. FML.

If it wasn't officially time to be done with this Chatwood thing before today, it's time now.

Started the season great, but once he gave up in June, it's been awful since. The luck has worn off that fuck.

Chatwood and Yu need to go. I really hope Yu decides to retire. He thought about it last season, which tells me his heart really wasn't into this. He is soft physically and mentally, not a good combination for a supposed ace.

What he hell was Bradley so fired up about? Contreras threw his bat down...that probably hurt. Didnt seem like he said anything or even looked at Bradley. Are guys not allowed to be frustrated when hit?
