That's fucking terrible

  Oops. I legitimately meant condolences to TBone's co-worker. My fault.

That is awful. Hope they can track the asshole down. Odds are pretty likely that the hit and run guy was drunk, huh?

A 29-year-old Kenosha man is in custody after he turned himself in to Kenosha Police for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 19-year-old motorcyclist Sunday night.

http://www.kenoshanews.com/news/local/m ... bdc95.html

Well...at least the guy turned himself in...

Saw the update early this morning. Sounds like some good Samaritans followed the guy. Still looking for a passenger in the vehicle. It appears
that the comments have all been purged, I have no doubt they were an interesting read. I never read the comments as the bad grammar alone
drives me crazy. I imagine it went off the rails very quickly.

Pretty standard stuff...friend of the deceased makes a comment about losing his friend, and in the same paragraph, starts railing on drivers in cars not looking out for motorcycles, followed up by someone bitching about the motorcycle drivers that drive like assholes...rinse and repeat.

 Yikes.... glad I missed all that. I have been to that gas station literally hundreds of times and the sad thing is that there is a road that
connects the gas station to the Aldi in the back. No reason for the guy to try to go the wrong way on that busy road. Obviously a good chance
that drugs and/or alcohol were involved. Anyway, just glad that they have someone in custody.

I manage a product that has been failing the field as of early May. Put it on hold and brought a bunch in to test. Engineers found the
product failing in the lab. Brought in competitive product and it also is failing. Between the e-mails I get on this and the time it takes
the engineers to tell me that the products we are testing suck, I'm this close to just pulling it out of the line completely even though it
is a good seller for us. Very frustrating process. Just took this product over in January so very curious how long it has been failing
before it fell in my lap.

we built a marketing team and platform around a new product about 8 years ago. trained sales people on how to sell it. they fly me down to florida to help train on cold calling/marketing. everyone looks confused that i'm training to sell old product. i realize that i'm supposed to be training on new product. i tell them that new product is already obsolete and i stopped trying to sell it months ago. its being included in wireless AP's as a standard feature. (our main office is in the QC but we opened a fla office and i thought it was just an extension office but apparently one built around this new product.)

Just had a conversation with a man who is charging his elderly mother rent to stay with him. What the hell is that???

Maybe there's some bizarre way it helps her financially?

Maybe...but the way it sounded it was way more about helping him make a townhouse rent payment...

I didn't know it was even possible to sublet part of a motor home.

Isn't it an avoidance of taxes on inherited money

The baseball season ended in a loss the worst team in the league after a horribly played game. I stood there, midway through, thinking I cannot wait for this season to end. The next day I thought, I don't know what I am going to do without it.

Wake up, make some raisin toast and coffee, go to put Golf Channel on.....black screen. Sound, no picture. Guess it's time for a new TV.

Are you sure it's not your cable feed? Did you try a dvd?

I have had this with 2 TVs over the last couple years on TVs that definitely should have had a longer life. For the 1st TV it was a minimum of $79 just to look at the TV. It was a $400 TV that was 5 years old. Decided just to replace it. After doing some research, it seems like this is relatively common with TVs. I was going to get 65" 4K TV but decided not to drop 1K+ on a TV that could crap out in a couple years. I bought a $400ish 55" TCL from Walmart and have been very pleased.

Had this happen too on a pretty nice TV. My experience with getting one fixed in the past is that if it’s out of warranty you might as well get a new one. I miss that TV.

This article offers some things to try before opting for a replacement.
