Interesting story about the Raven's Hayden Hurst. He was drafted by the Pirates as a pitcher, got the yips, walked on at South Carolina as a TE, and was a 1st round draft pick of the Ravens.

I know but they brought their whole team with them to Baltimore. NFL considers it an expansion team, but in reality it was a relocation like the Nordiques moving to Colorado.

I understand that they relocated the personnel, but they forfeited the rights to the Browns' intellectual property and records. It was a new arrangement at the time.

The reason is they didn't want the game to close out the Hall of Fame festivities, so they started last year putting this on THursday so the speeches can close out everything.

And the fact that a few years ago the field was in such bad shape that they had to cancel the game. This way if the field isn't playable or there is bad weather, the game could be played the following day or Saturday afternoon.
